Consider this: 4chan needs emoji reactions for posts like Discord has. Alright, calm down- I know you're already about to bust off on that. But hear me out on this. No upvotes, no downvotes, those are AIDS. But little emojis that don't get in the way of anything? It's a great way to concentrate a general response to something, particularly dumb posts, without either wasting space/time on a full reply that will only derail the thread, or engaging in reddit-tier popularity cult hijinks. 4chan experimented with injecting emojis into posts as an April Fools joke once, but this would just be a small (hideable!) reaction bar beneath the post. It cuts down on the zero-effort retarded kneejerk responses. And they're not so overpowering that they become the focus of the conversation itself (of course there will some bumpiness and excitement as they're first integrated but we'd get through it). Imagine if instead of giving some retard the undeserved dignity of a (You), you could just slap a :brainrot: emoji on his ass and everyone else clicks it to agree. And of course boards could vote for which emojis each one would have. It'd really be a net positive I believe.

If you need emojis, that is only proof that lack the ability to express yourself adequately with words. Don’t make your lack of language skills an issue for everyone else.
>>107991216>If you need emojis, that is only proof that lack the ability to express yourself adequatelIncorrect. Incredibly incorrect, you didn't even read the post, it explains why they're valuable. "Expressing oneself" for every zero-worth kneejerk post IS the problem, most people aren't clever enough to write anything interesting and as a result who frequently have whole threads destroyed where 90% of the posts are just back and forth screaming pasting the same .txt file buzzwords at each other. Think a little harder about this instead of trying to posture that responding to bait somehow makes your intellect advanced, anon.

Maybe for april fools, but I think it'd be practically the same as a updoot system.
>>107991148Yeah sometimes I want to simply agree with another point but it's rather wasteful to do spend a post on it.However one must consider the second-order effects - what behaviours will this new feature induce? It would be a very easy way for bots to make a false sense of consensus.
>>107991148Like in kiwifarms? Having that on an imageboard is stupid, it will inevitably form a consensus without option to retort. (You)'s are cheap and threads are disposable, use them.
