If you're using YT for anything other than background noise while you're doing something else you're probably doing it wrong. There is very little in there worth actually watching.

not only have i never used such feature, i also get irrationally angry if i have to listen to sped up or slowed down speech. not the traditional pitch shifted speech which gives people higher/lower voice but the modern one that maintains the original pitch of the voice.i literally cannot be in the same room if someone listens to a sped up audiobook for example.

And watching people who make that content more engaging sucks, too (too light weight, already know the stuff they are saying).Lets hope there is a workaround.

How come they control the speed of a video that is being processed on my machine? This makes no sense. But I guess when people accepted that if you turned off the screen of your device or went to another app, the YouTube player stopped playing, they were in for the ritual humiliation.Hell, they will probably soon copy this mobile feature and use the Web Visibility API to "prevent" people from watching a YouTube video while they browse other stuff
