Why can't I get ANY tech job? I'll take 15 an hour to do IT. I wanted to go to Japan and live an interesting life but instead I'm nearly 30 and I work as a cashier at a local grocery store and live with my parents.

>>108006799>>108007763In my experience, IT is basically gig work for anyone beginning.But in order to even get into that work, you need semi-related work experience and I've found that there is alot of overlap between manufacturing and IT.You might find a contractor who will send you to a plant and after the contract is up you'll have better luck getting an IT related assignment.After that though there will be lots of jumps between contracts.I'm on my 4th contract, spent a year in manufacturing, 2 years in a DC, 6 months at a hospital deploying new PCs and I'm on another 6 month contract for remote support. Pay is going up atleast. From 14.50/hr to 25/hr in bum fuck nowhere.It sucks sometimes, but this is fulfilling requirements for IT related experience for a future full-time job.People need to realize that whenever there are high requirements for an "entry level" IT job, these high requirements are there because it's a permanent position and there is much suck to be had before anyone will entertain you for full time
