I've been using "alternate player for twitch.tv" in Chromium on PC and Edge Canary on Android, and I haven't seen any ads. Whenever there's an ad break, the resolution just gets worse because it switches to the video that's normally used for the thumbnail in the corner during ads, but with sound.
