Why is it such a pain in the ass to run old software on modern PCs?
>>
it works fine
VMs exist
Compatability Mode exists
custom dlls exist
>>
>>108007957
That's all a pain in the ass
Why can't it just work?
>>

What software do you have a problem running on what OS?
>>
>>108007947
Because people are too lazy to learn how to code in POSIX compliant C, if you do that, it's as simple as cloning a git repo and typing
make
make install

in the terminal
>>

>as simple
>make
yeah and then it fails with 20 different errors because it expects dozens of things that are not the case anymore

100% real, no fake

How old are we talking? I run Office 2007 on a piece of shit modern PC and it's a dream. It does everything instantly and there's next to nothing that newer versions have that it's missing apart from waiting.

It DOES just work if you possess the knowledge to make it "just work", which you do not.

Works on linux
