Because people are too lazy to learn how to code in POSIX compliant C, if you do that, it's as simple as cloning a git repo and typing

How old are we talking? I run Office 2007 on a piece of shit modern PC and it's a dream. It does everything instantly and there's next to nothing that newer versions have that it's missing apart from waiting.
