If it has Nvidia expect random freezes with nouveau on GNU/Linux. Just opening gufw on mine freezes the system completely.

Most computers just get slow because it runs out of memory. If you buy a docking station you will now have portable workstation that is built like a tank.

I still have mine, you're in for an average experience. Most browser type stuff will work and old games will work but it's definitely not as fast as something 2 or 3 years newer. Battery life on them sucks, mine has the discrete video which isn't very good but brings the battery life down to about 2 hours. You can get a little more life by using a graphics switcher like Bumblebee to use integrated graphics instead but I hate to say "It is what it is."
