I've got 230 problems but a volt ain't one.

Why haven't we standardized yet on this plug in Europe?
Blue is Schuko.
>>
>>108017320
IIRC the sockets in the red areas are still compatible at least. They don't have the grounding spring on the outside, they have a pin on the socket that goes in that hole in the middle of the plug instead. The Schuko plug still works.
>>
>>108017320
Fun fact: the EU was about to standardize it but then UK left
Same with DST
>>
>>108017385
You do have to have a plug with the hole, though. I don't know if that's required nowadays but over a decade ago when I temporarily moved from a blue to a red country it was an issue once on occasion as not all our plugs had the hole. Thin plugs will still work but I assume they don't have the grounding since there's no additional contacts?

How often do you step on those fuckers?

Never?

They're cross compatible

>230 volt
Is this the new 5'11 vs 6'0 cope? Imagine not using 240v.

The one thing the British got right. absolute unit.

thats a good thing

>>108019325
whats stopping them from standardising it without the uk?
>>

Disingenuous.
>>
>>108019325
I don't see how the UK leaving has any relevance.
>>
>>108020843
Money. The UK was a paypig.

I haven't seen one schuko connector in my life that didn't have the hole for the middle prong. Always wondered what the hell was up with it before the days of wikipedia. The only plugs we had that wouldn't be compatible were the ones designed for unrecessed soviet style connectors.

Nice electric grid you got there, anon. Would be a shame if something were to happen to it.

What the fuck are you on about, blue and red are literally interchangeable. Only UK are faggots with their own custom bullshit.

Yes, they are both equally third world tier.
>>
>>108021460
still better than uk and american plugs
>>
>>108020829
The only experience I've had with UK plugs was when I first bought the og rpi straight from UK and it came with such a power supply. The middle plug was plastic.
>>
AC was a mistake.
>>
>>108021534
AC is the only reason you're able to type this, brainlet sama, since you most certainly do not produce your own electricity.
>>
>>108021496
At least the uk and american plugs are not confused about what gender they are. Also, the Schuko socket looks like an axe wound in the wall.

Retard doesn't even know what an axe looks like lmao
>>
>>108021686
We had DC grid before AC, retardbro, should have simply waited for better DC to DC converters. 99% of things in your house run on DC.
