He may be more of a grifter than you think. He used to and probably still does have a gas snowblower, has gas heating not a heat pump, does not have an induction stove, does not have any solar system, and owns more gas cars than electric cars. His foray the past 4ish years into society transformation crap is definitely a step down from his old analog A/V crap and random gadget crap, in terms of integrity.

His "analysis" is based on an extremely naive assumption that spending an amount in total now is better than spending an amount over the period of 20 years as long as the former is lower.

Absolutely NO ONE in the real world agrees.
I bet including himself if you closely looked at his spending habits.

You could even argue it's objectively and morally a wrong thing to do, despite the appearances.

Oil is relatively clean - its extraction is limited to a very few places in the world. It takes a small rig to do so.
When it's spilled it's easy to remove - you just burn it.
The CO2 from the burning is the problem - sure - and that's why environmentalists focus on that.
You have to give them credit that at least they don't focus a lot on the alleged damage to environment (as it's barely there compared to other human activity, especially when you compare it to the return we get form oil).

It's funny how much he railed on oil and pushed solar and wind yet didn't bother to bring up just how much cheaper and safer passively cooled nuclear is. Oh well can't bring that up. Also funny how he felt the need to shame people who want nothing to do with the constant happening and just want to live a normal quiet life.

Mining coal and extraction of rare earth metals is way worse to the environment (as classically understood, ignoring the CO2) - you literally have to scrape the soil from many square miles of land to get any sensible amounts of them.
In the case of rare earth metals you also have to use intensive cleaning processes that pollute everything around.
"Rare earth metals" in fact aren't rare at all, they're pretty much everywhere, it's just that no one wants to go through the above, except for the poor shithole countries where no one cares about people suffering.

>"Rare earth metals" in fact aren't rare at all,
The term is a bit of a misnomer. It actually refers to mix of lanthanides and late to mid period transition metals which are indeed are rare in nature. A number of known qualities are locked up in minerals that are often cost-prohibitive to extract.

Solar is a fucking scam, that shit doesn't work when it's cloudy or at night. Producing them is 1000x more damaging to the environment than just burning clean coal.
>hurr get a battery then!
Great, even more harmful chemicals and slave labor to mine all that cobalt. Not to mention having a massive fire risk at your premises

It does actually work, but it is not as effective as a clear sky.
Energy storage is a massive problem if we want to seriously move away from hydrocarbons as energy source.

>>
>what he thinks should happen
America should switch over to solar power because it is more price efficient, more material efficient, more manpower efficient and more health efficient
>what will actually happen
America will stick with oil for as long as possible precisely because it's a democracy. All these fucking lefty fucks lack the understanding that America is already moving away from fossil fuels, it's just not doing it at a pace that these faggots like.
The appalacias were devastated by the decline of coal, rightly so as at some point coal mining is trading lives for dirt. Entire bloodlines. For burning dirt.
The move to new energy sources simply cannot be forced without external forces.
Even if America were to move to renewables without external causes, you can bet that it will come back at some point.
The only way for America to advance is for China to realize gains from green energy first. This will take decades, and arguably already has.
The coming decades (another 30~40 years or so) will see china gain productivity on a scale that will baffle the American mind. Their industrial scraps, in the single digits, will be a magnitude above EU+US output. We will beg for these waste units. Instead of deindustrialization, the actual commie fucks will own the means of production.
That's the only point at which america will finally realize that renewables is the way forward. Any other way is false, on the argument that the human costs in jobs and workhour are unacceptable.
>what will happen if we follow faggots like these
we'll be begging for the chinese to build factories in america for more solar cells, they'll ingrain themselves in every aspect of american society, and we'll lose precisely the democracy of a bygone america that he idolizes
granted, not that bad compared to the current jeets situation. It's just an alternate solution to ICE.
If only America could work together to kick out all the somalians and jeets and then invite the chinese over to take over.
>>
I stopped watching this fucking shit video at the very start, and I usually like this fags videos.
>DURR I WONDER WHY PEOPLE ARE EXCITED WHEN THEY FIND OIL
AS IF YOU WOULDN'T FUCKING BE EXCITED THAT YOU ARE GOING TO GET MILLIONS AND MILLIONS OF DOLLARS, FUCK, YOU.
>>
>>108017799
The video runs on a whole lot else like omitting salient criticisms, physical realities, and key equipment necessary.
His little spew about how many solar panels in Chicago charge a car omits the need for the other half of the cost, control electronics and battery buffer, and it completely glosses over an area like that having 80% insolation due to latitude plus the biggest factor, average days per year of cloud coverage.

Tech.Connections is not the only medium-big sized channel who has been putting out videos like this.
There's obviously a concerted effort going on to play up only the positive aspects of >green energy while casually ignoring the technical realities.

I'll end with a case example I have used often with problem people like these.
Down here in Arizona if solar made sense Walmart wouldn't have just torn down their distribution warehouse's solar supplementation.
They would have replaced it.
Didn't last 10 years either.

The oldest solar panel farm out here is going end of life in the next 5 years too. Didn't make it to 20. Isn't making 10.
Our electricity prices have only gone up faster than inflation.
>>
>>108018167
>The oldest solar panel farm out here is going end of life in the next 5 years too. Didn't make it to 20. Isn't making 10.
Come up with a better lie man. It takes like 5 seconds to look up some old power farm and find out it was built in 2006 and is still operational.
>>

>>
>>108018332
It's basically a "Why renewables are the future and burning fossil fuels for energy is fundamentally flawed" video essay put into really simple (perhaps even condescending) terms. There's no interesting technical discussion, just broad comparisons to get the point across. Then it veers into political shit which is when I tuned out.
>>
>>108017872
nuclear is never brought up as an alternative to coal or gas, only wind or solar. and no nuclear ever gets built. makes you think.
>>
>>108018448
because coal and gas are cheaper. raising taxes to build nuclear won't win any votes.
wind and solar are just cheap gestures to win a lot of leftist votes.
>>

>>
>>108017872
>>108018448
Nuclear is a meme.
It's more expensive to build a nuclear plant than a solar farm.
The people that are required to maintain a nuclear plant cost way more than those that need to maintain solar.
Decomissioning nuclear plants is also way more expensive.
>>

>>
>>108018276
I live here jackass.
The copper crossing solar installation was cut out a few years ago. Barely more than 10 years old.

The brand new solar farm is nice but again the area only saw electricity costs increase greater than inflation. And we dont even have any power sucking data centers.
I hope 4chan and you and I still are here 10 years from now I'll tell you how it turned out.
>>
>>108017695

>>
>>108018489
The main cost of nuclear is regulations. The older designs needed those regulations. Newer passive cooling designs are significantly safer and cheaper to build.
The real reason is it would create limitless cheap energy and that doesn't make for higher profits.

>>
>>108018536
Keep bulldozing forests for solar farms, that will help the environment for sure.
>>
>>108018551
watch the video. we already use more land growing ethanol to feed cars than it would take to entirely replace the us's power generation with solar farms multiple times.
>>
>>108018530
Main cost of nuclear is the workers. A nuclear engineer costs much more to train and employ compared to an electrician. That's why the cost of the nuclear is also increasing with the cost of living.
Yes, regulations make it worse too, but I'd rather have those regulations than not.
>>
>>108018562
you aren't accounting for the batteries.
>>
>>108018562
Ethanol was always a joke but using farmland for solar farms is a retarded idea. There is plenty of land in the southern US that is useless for farming they can put these eventual E-waste all over.
>>
>>108018598
using farmland for ethanol is also a retarded idea. i didn't say it actually had to be the same land. dissolve reservations an, outlaw zoning, and gun down anti-construction extremists (commonly called nimbys) and the market will sort out all necessary construction itself.
>>
>>108018551
>Keep bulldozing forests for solar farms
This is the inconvenient truth leftists keep ignoring. The fact is that Solar is much more damaging to the environment than simply just burning natural gas or clean coal.
>>
>>108018489
Every single one of those charts lies through its teeth about intermittent power sources.
You are straight up fucking lying about the cost of wind or the cost of solar when you omit the cost of grid storage. It's just fucking propaganda.
>>108018530
A lot of what's driving nuclear's cost up is people are finally investing in it again but only after the industry was allowed to stagnate for for generations. It's a bunch of punted capex and braindrain that they're trying to make up for right now.
The reason nuclear was so cheap 20 years ago is because it was a bunch of plants humming along with basically only maintenance costs because no one's building new shit.
>>
>>108018612
It's so fucking weird that retarded americans are even against installing panels as shelter in parking lots. There's literally no downsides, it even keeps your car cool.
>>
>>108018628
Most people don't care at all about solar being installed in parking lots. The only real concern is them being installed with enough clearance.

Fruit of the poisonous tree.
>>
>>108018628
The problem once you retrofit a parking lot with solar is that the cost to redevelop the parking lot to useful land skyrockets, And the parking lot also starts generating additional income.

Putting solar on top of parking lots solidifies car dependency, and drastically decreases feasibility of infill design.

This is one of those green washing style projects that Oil and Gas would promote because it maintains demand on individual cars and wide open suburban designs

The REACTORS alone may be significantly better but EVERYTHING ATTACHED TO THEM necessary for the entire system to work are still just as upkeep intensive as any other nuke plant.

A single bad valve or control device or pipe line or wiring of which there are hundreds to thousands can lead to anything from excessive worker exposure up to a cascade failure situation.
Reactors can be 100%, provably, inherently fail safe. It won't change that everything else the reactor needs to produce power requires serious inspection, maint, and worker exposure limits controls.
That's the cost of a nuclear power plant and if you don't like it and want to deregulate you're going to get another society-distrust making major incident.
>>
>>108018752
>USA has always been a country that has lead world transitions

Western civilization (America) should use oil and coal and gas because those are the most effective power sources and you cannot solve "green" energy to get "lE sOlArPuNk uToPiA" if your nation is hamstrung, weak, starving, and beholden to foreign/global interests.
There is literally no alternative. Every other counter-argument is not "but but the environment", it's "i hate my culture so much for being so Ugly and harming le pure precious Environment and so I want the humans to suffer as much as possible".
>>
>>108019149
>you cannot solve "green" energy
China seems to have solved it. They keep building more and more solar farms. They sure as hell aren't doing it out of enviromental love.
>>
>>108017778
Factory farms do far more damage to the environment than oil drilling. At least now. The EPA will crawl up your ass and shut down entire rigs for a pinhole leak in a frac tank. It's not like the 70's and 80's when Boomers ran shit with zero regulations.

Not that any of it matters when the same kike trillionaires insisting goy need to use paper straws to save the environment are consuming more electricity and drinkable water than entire states to power Mossad data centers and crypto mining farms.

The fact the kikes are going to build new nuke plants is the only good thing about it. 50 damn years the country couldn't do anything with nuclear because of all the jew propaganda, but as soon as a few rich kikes need a lot of on-demand power, sure fire some up!

If anyone was actually serious about clean energy they'd be hard up pro nuke and not fucking windmills, but no one actually wants clean cheap energy. They want to grift from retards and steal another trillion dollars from stupid goy that could have been spent actually making civilization better instead of enriching a few jews.

Yeah people are retarded and don't know shit about renewable energy. They're still stuck in the 90's mindset where only oil, coal, and gas are reliable.

Thankfully money goes where profit is, and renewables are increasingly profitable.
It's already ~40% of all power generation, and almost 100% of new power capacity being built today.
>>
>>108019248
Most of the argument he makes is centered around the economics of renewable vs consumable, the only reason to bring up nuclear would be to shit on it for being too expensive.

Yes they are. It's called a scam. Same shit you faggots always do. Control both sides then get a bunch of retards to fight over them while you reap massive profits.

What do you think those panels and wind farms are made out of? Oh right, plastic. Now where does plastic come from? I'm sure you can come up with the answer if you try really really hard.

It's always funny watching you faggots sperg out about free energy from magic rocks.

If solar energy was good these faggots wouldn't have come around begging me for the last 10 years to put them on my property and attempt to steal my land through shady underhanded contracts. Everyone I know wouldn't be complaining about an over 50% drop in electricity production over 10 years and moaning about how they don't want to come out of pocket to replace the panels that got tricked into putting on their roof. Nor would they be angry about the constant issue of having to replace batteries. Or the fact that what they sell back to the grid doesn't even cover half the costs of what they have to take from it in cold and hot months (over half the year).

The only people that would promote this shit are people in on the scam or too retarded to know anything about it because they haven't worked with it. Unlike (you) I've worked at a solar farm and know most of the day consists of replacing batteries and throwing the used ones in the garbage can. My Dad has worked at a nuclear and coal plant and I know most of the costs associated with nuclear are related to regulations that are a massive scam in themselves. I also know 3-mile island was fake and gay and that the plant in Russia that melted down was the result of people either being malicious or retarded (probably both). I know the plant in Japan that they spooked the nips with the moment they were coming back around and enjoying the cheap energy was caused by a certain shady Mossad company having full access to the plant in the month leading up to the "accident".
>>
>>108019333
Now where did we see shady mossad agents with free access to something before a disaster? Oh right. 9/11 and the twin towers.

I also know that the US Government has been making bank selling good coal to the chinks who burn it in open pits and in heating stoves while the US plants are forced to burn absolute garbage that fucks everything up. Clogging up everything from the belts to the scrubbers.

I also know your family hasn't spent 4 generations in this industry so you have no fucking idea what you're talking about.

Kiss my ass. If you're scared of the fire stay away from it and let those of us that know what we're doing manage it.

my country's only plant had to be built away from residential and commercial areas in the capital city (expensive) and then when it went down for two months it cost millions of dollars and they had to ship the parts to argentina to do tests on it since we lacked the means to fix it ourselves

"conservatives" need to be whipped into an acceptable minimum of anti resources abuse compliance and "liberals" need to whipped into an acceptable minimum of anti social abuse compliance.

But we have only been doing the one side of it for decades. "liberals" have been getting their cake and eating it too, holding out the plate and blaming the shackled man, and having a tantrum when told no.
It's well past time for some serious, serious, harsh and brutal beatings to go around.
Too much of living in a fantasy land has got all you hippies completely disconnected from physical reality and I will be happy if your side declares it's go time, full throttle no brakes.

Atleast this retard takes his own money(or sponsored) and applies it to his house. I feel like tech connections is just shilling his ideology without any experience. For example main reason why solar sucks is insurance, installation cost, loans and selling the house. Not to mention fire hazard, hail damage, wind shear, and cost to recycle. But nope it's all peachy with tech connections despite him not having an array on his house that we know of. Heat pumps suck ass for anything below -10 so him jerking it off without considering the costs such as electricity and freezing over is just retarded.

Global warming is a naurally occuring process that man makes no difference to. So is global cooling.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milankovitch_cycles

You may as well not believe in the sun or stars. Man made climate change is however utter garbage based on non science and data sets that are not statistically relevent.

I like my solar stuff and little 500 watt wind turbines. I get about 5KW from it divided into three systems that deliver about 1.5KW each and each powers a seperately fused and isolated wiring system based on car cigarette lighter sockets. It does led lighting, screens and my low power lan computers which are built around SFF PCs with 180 watt PSU running win 10 with 1030 cards as well as USB chargers, fans, lighting backup for my well pump, battery chargers for tools and drones laptop chargers. It's when you get into anything that involves heating water that you need an oil fired boiler.

It's defnitely useful and cool and he's wrong. However you need the space to do it in and bolting shit to roofs is incredibly stupid. I have a 10KW generator and a oil fired boiler so I'm not some eco warrior spastic.

I'm in northern Europe. I;m not heating water with solar effeciently ever. I have been thinking about doing a water powered build using old washing machie motors as I have a stream I could use but that's more playing than anything else and at best it would be a pre heater. Winters here are cold and dark (thus there is one 500W wind turbine in each 1/3 and really powering little stuff like sfuff low power PCs (the CPU is the i7-4790S with LP GT 1030s and SSDs) and things like lighting and fans and chargers and a screen or TV its not going to really do more. The real cost is batteries and I use tractor batteries that I can get serviced cheaply. I have one serious UPS that can drive a well pump because without a well pump I have no central heating or running water from a tank in the loft but it does not need much. For heating really a backburner on a solid feul timber burner that has a collar on it in the second floor to increase draw abd heat the room above as well is probably best and I;ve done that before in another building and I have forestry. I'm not really a prepper type either, I just do this stuff for fun. You won;t last the five months of wet cold winters here without either oil fired or timber and solar is no subsitute for that. Wind has other downsides that you need to care about too, I only have three little turbines and have them caged because they destroy bird and insect life if you are not careful and I like the little songbirds and robins and such.
>>
>>108019904

They build everything they can, including coal. Coal is slowly decreasing as a percentage of total energy production in China but coal is still increasing in absolute numbers. What actually increasing significantly as a percentage of total production is nuclear, and they produce it cheap.

Renewables as a percentage of total energy production is, and will for the foreseeable future, be a meme percentage of china's total energy production.
Since you spout so much bullshit about their reliance of renewables would you maybe care to show us a few charts?

People pro clean energy are pro nukes, but the reality is you can buy a windmill or solar panel right now, which will be cleaner than fossil fuels, or you can start building nuclear power plants that won't be ready for years, decades maybe, and you will need power during that time anyway. While lauded as a beacon of green energy, the solar revolution casts a long, unsettling shadow when we delve into its environmental footprint. The narrative of clean energy often obscures a darker reality – a reality of resource depletion, toxic waste accumulation, and a growing ecological burden that demands our urgent attention.
>>
The very foundation of solar technology relies on the extraction of rare earth minerals like silicon, copper, and tellurium. Mining these materials is a brutal process, scarring landscapes, polluting waterways with toxic runoff, and displacing communities in regions often already grappling with environmental degradation. This relentless demand for raw materials is accelerating the depletion of our planet's finite resources, creating a future where the pursuit of "clean" energy comes at an unsustainable cost.

The manufacturing of solar panels is a chemically intensive process, involving hazardous substances like cadmium, lead, and selenium. These materials pose significant risks to human health and the environment during production, and even more so at the end of a panel's lifespan. As the solar industry surges, we are creating a growing mountain of toxic waste – a legacy of our "green" ambitions that threatens to contaminate ecosystems and pose long-term health risks.

The lifespan of a solar panel, while seemingly long, is finite. As panels reach the end of their operational life, they become a burgeoning source of electronic waste (e-waste). The current infrastructure for recycling solar panels is woefully inadequate, leaving vast quantities of these toxic devices to languish in landfills. This poses a grave danger as hazardous materials leach into soil and groundwater, contaminating our precious resources and potentially entering the food chain.

I think it's pretty transparent if you want to be a part of any of these tech spaces you need to be left.

Most of the ideas they like are "left" like right of repair, internet for everyone, open source, all these buy and it's your ideas are sadly these days left. They're not left because they're economically left, they also sure as fuck aren't politically left, if they were you wouldn't own anything.. They're left because they're on the opposite of the companies that want to chocke your out to get that one more buck out of you.

The American left simply picked these people as their own. While the right picked the guys that make money off the casuals.
I can guarantee you all of them would be indepentent or something if there was that option of staying neutral but in American right now thats not an option. Your in group demands you swear alligence to one side or they cut you off as suspect.

I'm guessing there are off baseload surplus prices when demand exceeds production and they have to import it from Skandis or Czechia.

Yet once it's out of the ground you're done. And when a critical mass is reached you can just recycle just like Aluminium cans. Also silicon and copper are anything but rare LMAO.

>The manufacturing of solar panels is a chemically intensive process, involving hazardous substances like cadmium, lead, and selenium
Oh no whole GRAMS of these! What will we do.

>The lifespan of a solar panel, while seemingly long, is finite.
Yet you burn oil, coal and gas and it just goes into the air. This shit you can just put in a slurry and make new panels. The only reason we're not doing it right now is because almost none of them have actually reached their 20+ year old lifespans. And the ones that do are usually repurposed because nobody gives a shit if it's 50% weaker as long as it gives you power.

> The current infrastructure for recycling solar panels is woefully inadequate, leaving vast quantities of these toxic devices to languish in landfills.
Come back later and recycle them. We're going to do the same thing to Thorium it's just sitting there radioactive in dumpsites, as soon as reactors are made it's going to be a mad rush on who gets to keep it.

Why do you think nuclear became more expensive? The answer is because of taxes. The cost of wind is also a meme because you can't use most of it. The reason why nuclear is so great is because it's predictable. Meanwhile most wind farms are unprofitable.

Anon... loans exist, you know that right? The utility company setting up acres of solar panels is not buying those PV panels _with their own money._

The consumer buying a car (or adding improvements to their home) can also finance that. Whoever bought that piece of shit Nissan (and "burned $19k of gasoline" in it) most likely financed the car itself. Through the miracle of Jewish banking technology you can take expensive things and amortize that cost over time. You don't have to pay it all at once.

If the former or current owners of that Nissan ever bought gasoline w/ a credit card, and revolved that balance, they literally got a loan to cover the gasoline (which they then burned), which kind of defeats the idea that fueling your car in micro-installments is somehow easier or more consumer friendly.

Have you ever watched poor people own a car, anon? I have. They literally drive around "on E", burning out fuel pumps and fuel filters, costing themselves hundreds or thousands of dollars in tows and added maintenance. Typically someone (AAA, a friend, good samaritan) brings them 1-5 gallons and they go on their oblivious way, or they barely coast into the next gas station where they put $5-$10 in the tank and repeat the cycle.

I am frankly kind of astonished that we let these subhumans handle a volatile substance like gasoline. As I understand it, in some states like New Jersey, _we actually don't!_
>>
>>108021081
Yet they are still building nuclear reactors like crazy, and have some of the most advanced uranium mining and refining techniques in the world.
>>
>>108021116
The grid didn't require government subsidies. The first power plants weren't built due to Government subsidies. They were built to power factories and lights and people were happy to pay for the energy they produced.
>Why didn't gas take off?
It did. After years of them dumping it directly into the river some guy came up with an engine that could run on it and then they were everywhere. Since people like the freedom of movement they provide and farmers liked having something that could do more work than a horse.

Same reason people still like them today: 2 minutes to fill up a tank and go another 400+ miles. Instead of the 12 hour wait for 100-200 miles you'll get from a electric car assuming the battery pack in brand new.

Let's assume that all solar panels are made in China. You buy bunch of panels from there, and now the materials constituting the panels reside in your country. When the panels are EOL, wouldn't it make sense to prop up your own indrustry to break the old panels back into their constituent materials, and rebuild working panels out of those? The materials don't have to move out of your country after that, it's a closed loop assuming you have the local ability to break panels and batteries down to materials and rearrange them back to panels and batteries, in country.

Effectively in this situation the need to buy from China goes down over time, since you're accumulating materials.

What do you think a loan is?
It's creation of money.
Money represents labor.
So, it's about putting a lot of labor here and now into something (at the expense of something else - people can't do two things at the same time) vs. continuously putting a small amount of labor into something over a period of 20 years.

People are easily swayed by the "we should do the right thing right now!" talk, because they don't understand it costs people (usually the poor people) their current standard of living.

>we should sacrifice ourselves (no, no, I don't mean us boomers, I mean next generations) for the benefit of our children!!!

The source doesn't matter, it being a material that's single use is the stupid part.

>I'm sure you'll be paying for this out of pocket and not expecting tax payers to pay for it. Oh wait.
The point of a nation is to create incentives. A nation is the entity that makes commerce possible by enforcing the companies rules operate by. I think it's better use of that tax-payer money to pay for retainable materials and industry to have energy source at home than to project power to foreign countries to keep energy (oil) available. Why do you think China thrives? Because they're so far ahead on the whole industry capability like >>108021317 mentions. They don't lose it. You're retarded if you think a country shouldn't use tax-payer money to subsidise their own ability to produce.

>The ones we throw into the dump that can barely last a couple of years? Those?
Yes. Battery and panel degration happens due to structural failure, not material decay. Scour the dump for materials like you scour ore for them, refine them back to basic materials and rebuild the tools that harvest and store energy from the sun direclty.

No one strives for economic independence.
Wealthy countries are wealthy BECAUSE they're not independent.
Wealth of western countries comes from the exchange of labor-intensive, polluting resource extraction and now also manufacturing in exchange for very expensive shiny high-tech trinkets we own the IP of.

It's like this:
>you work in a mine to extract resources,
>you work in factory assembling computers we designed

>>
>>108021253
There's literally no difference between the banker's profit (interest), and the gasoline company's profit (margin), apart from the final price itself due to economic conditions and largely arbitrary choices made by the executives of each corporation (/ the fed.)

Both approaches burn my capital ("labor") over largely the same time scale. Whether I'm burning "interest" or "gasoline" is immaterial, but at the end of one path I have some durable good e.g. some PV panels on my roof that have some number of years more useful service life after the loan, and recycling potential after that. While at the end of the gasoline path I have /nothing/ except empty gasoline containers and maybe a few more stains on my garage floor.

OK, first of all, don't bring feminine beauty products into this. The fact that retarded femoids slather their face in carcinogens to attract potential mates is not really a position anybody should be defending.

Secondly, in absolute quantity, we need /much less of these things/ than we need gasoline. People burn ridiculous amounts of gas to get to their pointless jobs (which could largely (a) not exist, or (b) be performed remotely) due to poor urban planning and antiquated ideas about labor. A tank of gas lasts a typical consumer a week, maybe two. An asphalt road has a lifespan measured in years or decades depending on the quality of installation, region, and municipality.

Same goes for lubrication, even /in an ICE car/, the lubricants last a minimum of 10:1 times longer than the gasoline itself, and that's using figures (3,000mi:300mi) from extremely outdated and outmoded automobiles that are well past drinking age at this point.

No one is saying we should give up all refined petroleum products. (Well, OK, maybe some retards are arguing that.) The video author is merely suggesting that burning gas to move a car or heat a home is largely unnecessary in 2026.

If we stop retarded consumers from burning it in their cars you actually free up that supply for things like, I don't fucking know, shooting rockets into space or making more of this cheap plastic shit you care so much about.

How do you think they got to that point, and how do you think US could get there as well? I broadly agree with what you said, but:
1) There's also currency fuckery. 1 USD is not the same as 1 Yuan (Rembimini or however the fuck it's written). It's simply cheaper to pay a Chinese person than an American to do the same work, period.
2) The US has shown that they will exchange long term gains for short term. There won't be a mass recycling if buying from China and even recycling from China is cheaper. And there's no public and political will to change the situation.

Here is a copy of a video filmed in 1984 that answers all of your questions. Much better than the "random youtuber" in the OP btw

zoom zoom...
I hope you realize that the fact that a video is older than youtube doesn't make it trustable source. scams weren't born with you.
again, provide EVIDENCE. do you know what that word even means or implies?
have you done actual research?
I have done basic research on solar as a business. I could generate electricity in my fucking land to sell to other people for $$ and I'm a random retard. can you build one of these "cheaper and safer passively cooled nuclear" reactors? can you at least tell me how much they cost to the companies that build them, and what their business model is? let me guess, they depend on gibs from daddy government because the actual cost of building is ALWAYS MUCH HIGHER than expected... and so is the energy they sell. meanwhile, govt could be subsidizing batteries to solve most problems associated with HV networks.

First of all. You didn't even quote the wikipedia page of the right person because he doesn't have a wikipedia page.

Second of all. He's the most reliable source on this subject since he literally designed the reactors in use and the storage facilities for the so-called "waste".

Lastly: You're very bad at what you're doing and I'm going to link to the video yet again since it seems to upset you so much.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BeXn3JvSWJ4

Bonus fact: I've worked in the industry for years. My father worked in the industry. My Grandfather worked in the industry. I know more about this than you ever will. Your "basic research" consists of propaganda you heard in public school and a handful of shill talking points.

Kill yourself. If you're this concerned about the health of the planet you have no other choice but to take a long jump with a short rope tied around your neck. You will be reducing your carbon footprint.
>we need to tax carbon to save the planet!
>Wait, what are humans and all life made out of!?
>Oh right, carbon
Insufferable faggots.
>>

>You didn't even quote the wikipedia page of the right person because he doesn't have a wikipedia page
yeah, I made a mistake, and I couldn't find a single reliable source on him. he might as well have been a scammer.

>since he literally designed the reactors in use and the storage facilities for the so-called "waste".
you know what one of those very reliable sources in google says? it says that he was a nuclear chemist. chemists, or even physicists, don't design reactors. engineers do. lmao.

>Bonus fact: I've worked in the industry for years. My father worked in the industry. My Grandfather worked in the ind
cool. read the above. technicians don't make builders.

>Your "basic research" consists of propaganda you heard in public school and a handful of shill talking points.
so you've never done any business research.

you still haven't replying to my questions lmao.

kinda weird how fast you write. I might be talking to an actual bot kek
>>
>>108021858
>technicians don't make builders.
That's funny. My grandfather was a technician and he supervised the construction of multiple turbine plants. My father was a technician and he supervised the construction and refueling of multiple nuclear plants.

Looks like I know more than you. If you'd bothered to watch the video instead of trying so desperately to convince others not to look at it maybe you'd know the guy's life story and how he worked at Handford before going all over the country to build reactors.

>so you've never done any business research.
Look at this retard that thinks an MBA is worth anything.

I'm not answering your questions if you're too ignorant to even look at the material. I didn't read the last half of your post. I knew you were getting paid to shill the moment I read two sentences and saw you trying to claim the guy in the video was a kike.

I'll link it again: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BeXn3JvSWJ4

How do you feel knowing the 10 people lurking for every shill can't be stopped from getting curious and looking at the material? Going to post a third thread now that you've been BTFO'd in both of them?

Buy an ad faggot.

Yeah really strange someone can type above 120wpm. Almost like I'm not some dumb faggot hunting and pecking while getting paid 2 cents per post.

Are we going with
>everyone that doesn't agree with my talking points is a bot!
Now? A damn shame. You've been reduced to that level of non-argument.

I'm going to continue bullying you faggots and pointing out you're being paid by glow niggers and there is nothing you can do about it.

Lurkers should look into the Department of Defense Interactive Internet Activities program. Much harder now than several months ago though. Since you faggots got so sick of me exposing it that you had to delist it from google search results and add every link with the .pdf file to the spam filter here. Even the ones people upload to catbox.moe.

You're not fooling anyone.

Can't go off script. Quick accuse him of being mad and switch to insulting him. Maybe we can really make him mad and draw him into an emotional argument in an attempt to make him look bad.

Too bad I won't fall for it. Care to explain why you're following this helpful guide to the t?

>I talked nothing about cars.
You missed the point, which was that restrictions against tools are less effective than embargoes against fuels and other ongoing demands.
After you have a car, it doesn't matter where it was made, you have it. Same with solar panels.
After you have fuel it does matter where it was made, because very soon you will need more
>>
>>108021232
I already told you how it's waste. Read my post or fuck off
>>
>>108022030
It's not waste. It's the highest valued resource on the entire planet. The fact that you're too dumb to to the basic research when it was spoonfed to you doesn't change that fact.
>>
The inflation reduction act that Trump repealed would have had America beating China on solar by now, just FYI

At least LGR does a good job keeping his personal politics off his youtube channels. You have to do a bit of digging on his other social media accounts to find out what side of the aisle he sits on.
>>
>>108016479
If he doesn't like how things are going in the US, he can feel free to just move to Europe at any time. He's a well off white man, I'm sure the costs of moving are negligible to him.
I hear France is both embracing solar and is highly welcoming to refugees and other brown people. Sounds like a paradise he should do everything in his power to move to ASAP

Whataboutism. The cleanest full chain source of energy is nuclear. Even most forms of oil look good next to the abject clusterfuck that is wind.
>but cost
Is regulations made up by boomer politicians captured by the Rockefeller foundation. Oil companies have no problem with 'green' energy because they know that shit doesn't work and only serves to keep retards in fossil fuel dependency.
