Could you please provide details about your motherboard and RAM, including the manufacturer, number of modules, timings, and voltage?

Have you enabled dual-channel RAM in the BIOS?

Have you overclocked the timings or increased the voltage?

How did you determine that the RAM is faulty?

Were there any warning messages during boot? If so, what were they?

What testing tool did you use? Do you have any documentation, such as temperature readings?

How many RAM modules are working and how many are faulty? Are they from the same manufacturer?

How are your RAM modules configured on your motherboard?

Have you tested the faulty modules individually in slot 1 with standard voltage and timings?

Have you removed one, two, or all of the modules?

How are the modules now configured? Overclocked or with default settings?

you could sell it and you would get your money back for the full kit and more. But now it's dead, but maybe not. Switch the sticks and check if the dead one actually died. It might be your motherboard RAM slot. Happened to my cheap ASSrock like 10-15 years ago.

That is a very interesting question! As troons are gender-confused men taking female hormones, it should be obvious that these men know how they like their genitals manipulated to optimize for their pleasure since they have the same equipment.
>>
is there any difference between quad and duo?
i have duo at 3600. if i wanted more ram, buying more at 3600 would work? or i'd have to lower the speeds? if i did, the performance hit would really be that hard?
>>
>>108022037
is there a way to verify this scientific theory with practical application without relinquishing my sexuality?
>>
>>108017768
You had 2 sticks in single channel because your lazy ass didn't read the motherboard instructions.
You definitely notice performance differences when gaming, especially the 1% lows.

>use case for dual channel RAM?
RAM choice is like two yes/no checks.
Do I have enough RAM for what I run?
Do I have enough transfer bandwidth for what I run?
Something like 99% of all PC users never have to give a shit about the second point and dual channel is just a way to get more capacity for less money as two smol sticks are cheaper than one big stick.
If you don't know why you'd need it, you don't need it.
>>
>RAM dying
Haven't faced this since 2007
>>
>>108023591
>Do I have enough transfer bandwidth for what I run?
This is complicated by the 10,000 tech blogs, AI slop posts and articles that say more bandwidth = faster rendering, more gaming FPS, ext.
They usually fail to mention that you won't get any of that shit with most games/apps because they are topping out at transfer bandwidths far lower than what single RAM sticks can provide.
We STILL live in a world where people are chasing 200+ FPS on 60 Hz monitors and people are installing dedicated GPUs but plugging into their MOBO HDMI slot.

>dual channel is just a way to get more capacity for less money as two smol sticks are cheaper than one big stick
You're fucking retarded. Memory channels are about increasing bandwidth, not capacity. You could just have four (or more) DIMM slots on the board with a single-channel memory controller if cost was the only factor. That was the main differentiating factor of Socket 754 and Socket 939.
>>
>>108017768
There's at most a 6% difference (usually less) in real-world testing.
