>>108022442NTA but the problem with USB C is there are 24 conductors going to a PCB as small as your fingernail. It's something that is slowly being automated as machines get more precise but since USBC was rather unprecedented in the density of conductors it has, there where no machines to fully automate the process.Higher USB standards are forcing the matter as hand positioning isn't consistent enough for 80gbps+ cables
>>108022297Thundebolt cables have actual chips that control the data that's sent, it's not just 10 cables plugged into a connector to each end.I have that cable and it's rather okay, but the ends are fucking massive, so the cable sticks out a lot on the side of my laptop.
>>108022442what an arrogant statementThe plug is not optimised for machine assembly, it is optimised for high frequency communication and smal form factor. The individual wires have to be split from their axial shield and precisely aligned before an injection molder fixes them in place for soldering. Now look at Ethernet, in its original form its a pre sorted flat wire and 8 IPCs all pushed by a single die. This was purposely created for machine assembly

Try the red or light blue port with an USB-A to USB-C converter - okay now I get 10gbps.Then my mum needed a charging cable so I have to use my spare, and now I get 480mbps USB2 on the same device and same port. >>108019847He should be smashed in the balls repeatedly.*blasts his entire groin off with a shotgun8Okay Linus, now you may continue.
This only solves 1/3rd of the issue of USB-C. Yeah, having a reliable cable that's actually capable of doing everything a USB-C cable should be able to do is nice. But you're still reliant on the PORTS of the devices on either end being able to support the same not-so-standardized "standards". For instance my phone has USB-C, and it uses that for charging and data, but that data is limited to USB2.0 and there's no ability for video output over USB-C. This is a modern phone, USB3.0+ has been around forever, and yet here we fucking are. And you can't even find out that these standards aren't supported unless you really dig dig deep down into the weeds in the spec sheets. tldr phone manufacturers are a bunch of kike niggers and they should all fucking die.
