in triple A games i mean, my older brother said i shouldnt upgrade from the 3060 to the 5060 because of the 8GB but he's on PCIe 3 so his performance is garbage i guess. should i buy the 8GB 5060?

Nope, not any modern UE5 slop unless you use fake frames and upscaling.
I got one in my media rig connected to my tv.
I suggest a 9060XT (16 GB) card if you wanna spend around the same but get 1440p performance that is usable.

i dont mind using upscaler and framegen, my only concern is the memory swapping mid game and forcing me to restart the aplication.

Watch benchmarks on youtube. It's similar to a 2080ti/4060ti iirc so if those were good enough then sure + you get the new upscaling/framegen stuff.

Idk I have a 9070xt

My friend has one and it shits the bed randomly when playing ue5 games.

Wouldn't recommend. It's struggling already due to its 8GB, and future games won't tend to be less demanding.

I'd agree with that but the AMD software has been such utter dogshit for me lately, constantly getting driver crashes.
