I think the OnePlus 15R is basically a scam. It is just the global version of the cheap OnePlus Ace 6T that Chinese buyers mostly avoid because the camera is terrible unless you only care about gaming. The 165Hz screen is pretty much its only real selling point. For about the same price you can get a Chinese OnePlus 15 (12GB 256GB) that flashed to OxygenOS. 12 512GB is like less than 100USD upgrade.

It's my first OnePlus and I've only had it for two days (I specifically waited for the official launch in the EU to get a real warranty). The chipset is good, not as good as the Elite but it doesn't overheat (I tried emulating some games and I'm happy). Battery life is great (that was the whole point for me). If camera is important to you just get an iphone there's no other question about it. Extremely good video + extremely good photos so that justifies the price.

If you want android only and are outside of the US then you can look into the xiaomi leica collab, that phone seems to be doing really good.

If not, then the galaxy ultra is a better buy considering the chip you're getting. Pixels are shit performance for the price, and the camera is made good by software enhancements not necessarily the hardware.

my old Unihertz Titan is painfully out of date.
It's either this, or the newest $1300 Galaxy phone in hopes it'll last longer.

Thinking about it, I would much prefer a stylus to a headphone jack. (I'd really want to have both, but this is the world we live in) so I'm not entirely sure what the best move would be.

Geekbench is well known to be a garbage test that runs so extremely fast in all phones that there's barely any real validity to it.
If you showed antutu or 3dmark it would be a reasonable test because those max out both the cpu and gpu of the phones, and if you run them for 15 minutes straight you get the real performance the phones have in a real scenario.
Plus, it's also well known geekbench has always showed apple SoCs performance to be extremely better than the competition while in real life it's barely half of a mediocre cpu from their competitors.

I just posted right before you. The 10 pro is a solid phone, the only noticeable con is camera quality is slightly worse than my last Samsung (s22 ultra). Not only do I love the fact it has no holepunch camera, but the bezels are really thin.

Other than that Gaming performance is better than anything released at the time and even now it runs everything (emulators included) with no sweat. I cant even do it justice with how good the performance is.

Just do your research beforehand on if you will need to pay additional duties/tarriffs.

A 200MP smartphone picture in those lighting conditions is always going to look like AI hallucinations. Not only is the demosaicing algorithm working overtime but there's no binning at that resolution, which is what you're supposed to use the binning for in that lighting.

Dumb question: I live in the US. What happens if I import a phone that was never officially released here? According to frequencycheck.com, most of the bands are compatible.

Android has become so cucked over the years there's no reason to use it over iOS. I've been an Android fag since HTC HD2 days but there's so much shit these days that doesn't work if you run LineageOS that I kinda gave up. I don't want Google bloat on my phone but neither do I want some chink skin on top of AOSP. Almost everything I want is on F-Droid and I don't need Google's shit store except for 1-3 apps.
But if my choice is between an iPhone and stock Android so my bank app will work then I'd rather use an iPhone. It sucks but it's Google driving me away from AOSP so I won't reward them for that by using their shit version of Android.
