What are some ways to restore the early 2000s internet? Fuck (the recent ai agent thing that has gone viral). We need to more humanity in technology.

all the best creators on ng love having fun with ai. maybe you have to approach the tech with childlike wonder and a little humor

We can't.
It's over.

AI gf would be the kind of thing your average ng dweller on 2000s would be cheering on about.

That is the gayest faggotest shit I have ever heard

I've checked all over the web and it just feels empty now compared to even 10 years ago

I think the genie's out of the bottle on this one
people did shit before because it was fun, a creative outlet. That doesn't exist any more, if you're not seeing a return on your investment of time, effort or attention, then it's not worth doing.

Of course it exists. The issue is no one will see what you're doing for fun so there's no point. Old creative OCs like flash animations, fun/dumb photoshops, early youtube videos, effort posting, etc was motivated by sharing one's creations with audiences. Now your creation will be data scraped by 100 bots before being instantly forgotten by e-algorithms upon upload, never to be seen by human eyes. Unless you've already expended serious time, capital, and effort to carve out a viable signal in all the noise. Which takes all the fun out of the endeavour so it defeats the purpose.

You can't, the landscape is just too different.
Old internet was a collection of triple digit IQ individuals, because computers were a filter by the virtue of being complex by normie standards.
People used to be creative back then for fun without any profit incentive, because there were so many young Millenials online without real life responsibilities, but they eventually grew up and now have to focus on making money instead of having fun.
After 2007 we've been witnessing more and more of idiots coming online and in the last decade, a tsusnami of 3rd world lesser humans finding their way here.
These recent arrivals are flat out unable to create anything, so the only way to compete or to be visible is to use AI for everything and they're not good at that either.
Only way to get any of the old internet vibes, is to hang out in password protected chat rooms or finds some thread with a comfy slow discussion about a subject with just a handful of people.

People already do that on discord or roblox and it fries their brain even more. 00s internet was never about completely isolating and alienating yourself from the world. All this does is put you in a hugbox
>>

Yeah but that hugbox is unfortunately the only way to experience even the traces of what used to be.
There's absolutely no way whatsoever to get any of those old vibes in a public setting that has meaningful amount of traffic, because the space will quickly be populated by loud combative retards, who shit it all up even in small numbers and idiots engaging with said retards to feed their presence.
You need the ability to kick them out, or for the subject to be so niche, autistic or boring that no one engages with it.
Of course what sucks about this approach is that every subject without active traffic will eventually die out, as people move on from it.
Which is why fandoms have the greatest staying power in this regard.
You get the fun oriented creativity without profit incentive and enough autism to keep random people from hanging out in the spaces.

P2p and cryptography

How do you even grow a community? I assume it's possible to host your own site and do shit, but the issue is how do you actually grow a community? 'provide value to people's what does that even mean

ban "social" networks

We went from deskopt computers to iphones. That's why people just consume content instead make it.
