In the end, The AI was wrong, the low wage nigga who could hardly speak properly was wrong, and I got my great new phone.

I've also seen some pretty dumb suggestions from Anons on /g/, so I had to express a bit of healthy skepticism.
I didn't remember just how well I looked in to the headphone jack on the phone. I think I saw it on the spec sheet on the amazon store page, and one guy in the comments of a review talking about it. Either way, I wasn't entirely sure what I remembered, or if it was accurate.

I considered going back in to tell the guy that it did have the audio jack after all, just in case someone else was asking about it, but decided against it.

For what it's worth my nintendo 3ds has a thing where it makes the contents of its micro SD card available over whatever WiFi network it's connected to so perhaps apple does the same thing, I'm pretty sure you'd use the ordinary file explorer to navigate to it

Used to work at a few different cellphone shops. I saw almost every type of phone come in broken. It happens to any of them and just comes down to the way it fell or how clumsy the owner is. For the most part, yes. They aren't really effective against drops and modern tempered glass on smartphones is very resistant to scratches. I've gone without a screen protector for the past 6 years and none of my phones are scratched to shit or have shattered screens except my S23U, which took a surprising amount of falls before finally shattering near one of its corners.

How exactly are these 50MP+ smartphone camera sensors supposed to be better than the traditional 12MP-16MP ones we were using before? I always hear they're better in low light, but this doesn't really make sense as this is only after binning, which at that point you might as well use a larger traditional 12MP sensor which will have larger individual pixels from the jump. I also hear they're better in daylight but these sensors aren't even designed to output their max resolution and demosaicing algorithms make the high resolution output you do get vary wildly from OEM to OEM. The lenses don't even allow you to get the full resolution of the sensor either.

What am I missing here?

I have an S23 (base model), 3 years ago when I bought it was perfectly fine for me, but nowadays I use my phone a lot more (games, social media, random shit) and both the battery and the memory are just not enough anymore
I'm also finally willing to buy a flagship
so, options I'm evaluating:

it would be about 767 euro for 512gb chinese version with global rom (I know about the problems with streaming apps, I don't care, never use them)
this should give me the best battery/performance
1k for the global model if I want 0 issues guaranteed
>Pixel 10 pro XL
1k euro, I'd really like to try out the pixel software/camera, but I know it's a lot less powerful and the battery is a lot worse than the OP15, but maybe the software makes up for it?
also I already have the pixel watch, small thing in favor of the pixel ecosystem

the screen privacy stuff looks so fucking sick, but the price will probably be prohibitive for quite a while and I don't want to wait...

any option I'm missing/not thinking of?
I expect to keep this phone for at least another 3 years, hopefully closer to 5

I have the OnePlus 15 (16gb) and if the camera isn't important to you get that or wait for the s26 ultra. The pixel 10 pro xl is good too, but the price compared to the other options isn't making sense. I also have a Red Magic 11 Pro (24gb) and a iPhone 17 Pro Max. I gave my s25 Ultra and pixel 9 pro xl to family members while I wait for the s26 ultra and sort of miss the OneUI and Pixel software honestly.

NTA, but I went from an S23U to a OP 13 and you mainly miss out on extra customizability.

I ended up not giving a shit because OOS is noticeably smoother. OneUI never "felt" like flagship-grade software. It would briefly drop frames, and for the longest time animations were done sequentially instead of in parallel. Even PixelUI on P6P "felt" like flagship-grade software. Aside from this, OneUI+Good Lock is fantastic but I'd argue it's not worth the price premium.

What's a good image app that lets you just look at and organize images on your phone, that doesn't do stupid shit everyone hates like
