I also care about having good storage so good SSD's are important to me but not enough to sacrifice performance since they can be bought later so whatever is possible at the time. Monitors I'll buy afterward.

I know I need to use GUID to extend beyond that, but I don't actually know how to do that on an existing partition, and even if I could, would I actually be able to extend that partition into the remainder of the drive?

First, Intel and AMD's GPUs are just that: pure gaming cards that no one bother to buy.
Second, this is nothing like the mining boom were gaymers suddenly had to compete with hordes of people inflating the market by turning a consumer level equipment into an investment. This is about a handful of mega corporations using infinite money to buy so much professional grade cards that not much is left to produce the consumer level ones anymore. No one outside the gayming world has to compete for a 5070 Ti and killing ComfyUI won't affect its pricing. There's just not enough VRAM and times to produce enough for gaymer cards once the big business to business contracts are settled.

Okay so apparently I misread the instructions and didn't realize I was pushing outward instead of inward on those tabs, so that's good news. Bad news is that the rear right lock is fucking inaccessible and cannot be pushed down without removing the fan. Furthermore, the HDD cages actually make airflow to the GPU a bigger issue than I thought compares to cases with PSU shrouds given how spread out they are, pressure falls off dramatically. Old cases would rectify this problem by having fresh air being fed directly from side vents, but we don't do that in Germany I guess.

They very likely have a stash of Zen3 chiplets that don't quite meet the Epyc standards that could be repurposed for a new Zen3 consumer chip, assuming they have the 3D Vcache available, another 5700/5800X3D release, or even a 5850X3D release is possible.

I'll explain this before it gets confusing. Different CPUs have different sockets. Like currently AMD CPUs use AM5. I don't know what the Intel sockets at the moment are, but I remember it being like LGA #### or something like that. So your CPU has a socket it needs to pair up with. It can't just go into any modern motherboard. So if looking for one thing or the other, just make sure what you're buying will match up.

if you're looking at mainstream platform productivity, 9950x vs 285k is going to come down largely to use case, they trade blows a lot and the Intel is generally slower in gaymes. If you need quicksync in particular though Intel wins hands down. yeah it looks like the 5080 is only about 8% faster here, it's obviously going to vary from game to game though 20% is just an average. Not really considering the overclocked 9070 xt since it's apples to oranges, the 5080 is a pretty wicked overclocker, if you wanted to make a fair comparison the 5080 is a solid overclocker and i suspect would take a double digit lead over the overclocked 9070 xt. Radeon does give a lot of raw raster for the price though, njudea's advantages lie mainly in gimmicks like pathshitting and having better hallucinated frames and upscaling.
