I'm confused. Everyone says the B650E-E board I got won't matter in terms of performance vs an X870 board. But then they say the X870 has more features. What exactly is it suppose to have over the B650E-E?

>>108074318Yup your 9800x3d is on the upper end of the binning curve
>>108074209You're misreading the situation.First, Intel and AMD's GPUs are just that: pure gaming cards that no one bother to buy.Second, this is nothing like the mining boom were gaymers suddenly had to compete with hordes of people inflating the market by turning a consumer level equipment into an investment. This is about a handful of mega corporations using infinite money to buy so much professional grade cards that not much is left to produce the consumer level ones anymore. No one outside the gayming world has to compete for a 5070 Ti and killing ComfyUI won't affect its pricing. There's just not enough VRAM and times to produce enough for gaymer cards once the big business to business contracts are settled.
>>108074145>>108074105It's probably cancelled, at best i can see them releasing a 5080 TI with 24gb of vram and a 5090 TI with 48 GB if intel get serious with their workstation cards like the b70 and maufacture enough volume to cut into their profits with cheap 48gb/24gb vram cards
>>108074418No use. The data centers aren't even competing with cards. So the idea that any new cards are going to be manufactured is a moot point. No new cards for the foreseeable future. >>108076435ASUS PRIME Z790-A would be a decent choice. Anything Z790 will give you nothing really to complain about. Assuming you just have a normal set up and not a load of drives and other random things.
>>108076453I want to mount it vertical because I heard it makes the GPU and motherboard last longer / extends their lifespan due to how Xbox hueg modern GPUs are. Also I don't like the idea of anti sag brackets. The one I got is barely tall enough to hold up my current setup since the bottom PSU shroud to GPU length is something like 15cm or something. I'm not at home but it's stupidly tall.I was hoping to easily vertical mount without any hassle but I also don't want to sacrifice my current PCIE slots because I may want to add a sound card but now I guess I will have to suffer the onboard SPDIF out to an external DAC anyway.
>>108076470I'll explain this before it gets confusing. Different CPUs have different sockets. Like currently AMD CPUs use AM5. I don't know what the Intel sockets at the moment are, but I remember it being like LGA #### or something like that. So your CPU has a socket it needs to pair up with. It can't just go into any modern motherboard. So if looking for one thing or the other, just make sure what you're buying will match up.
>>108075987>do you need the vramRealistically not that much, I only play older games save for Minecraft with lots of mods and path traced shaders, occasionally prompting some stuff in SD but nothing serious. I don't do movie-tier Blender scenes anymore with high res assets so I could probably compromise. Probably.
>>108076453Also I don't own any 3D printer...
>>108075991As much as people justifiably hate the tech, if I could fire up my old CRT and play something like Half-Life path traced with even better DLSS performance, it would probably be the perfect screen to experience those kind of graphics because resolution is always native.

The funny thing is that people buying all the overpriced hardware probably means we're going to be looking at the normalization or even elevation of those prices. >>108078205>what is MLC for OSskill issue also NVME only truly shine heavily with sustained reads and writes which is not OS booting or basic program accessit's also good for a scratch drive for a minimal page when you set it to low if on a high RAM systemif you don't know then you don't know
>>108078154Should be fine
>>108078206>>108078212Thank you. Appreciate the help.
>>108078208ALWAYS BUILD THE PCIt took me too many years of shitty gaming laptops to realise this
>>108078224enjoy your throttling jet turbine of a laptop>not 2007Trust me, I know.
>>108078227anon that ssd pictured is mlc
>>108077731>avatarfagging>decrying every single technology and instance in which nvidia does better than amd to be invalid and a "scam"
>>108075826Not at all. The 5060 ti isn't worth it at the current price and the 3090 much less so.
>>108078232Cool, thank you.
>>108078253i mean pathtracing really is just hairworks tier bullshit but upscaling and framegen have use cases. AMD not having functional framegen at all is a pretty big black mark against them. The 9070 xt feels like it's tailor meant for playing games made before 2019 at 4k high hz....
>>108078245It's terrible for thatI don't want to hear that sitting gaming for 8 hours
Not totally sure I understand this. But my CPU won't bottle next my GPU at 1440p, right?
>>108078298don't use this nig tier website for anything
>>108078268>9070xt tailor made for raster>loses in raster to 5080That's the real problem, if they suck at rt or pt but beat the shit out of 50 series in raster, people would have a reason to buy them at the current pricing.Actually they suck at everything, raster or rt or ai.
>>108078308Which would you recommend?
>>108078298as you can see from the benchmarks posted earlier 9800x3d has wayyy better fps than best of intel from few years ago
>>108078321>>108078321>>108078321
>>108078316Okay, but what does that have to do with bottle necks?
>>108078268>AMD not having functional framegenYou literally just have to turn on vsync in the adrenalin profile for the game (NOT IN-GAME) and it fixes the frame pacing issues
>>108078329its just a general idea that you should buy the best cpu can afford so that when games are heavy on the cpu you notice it lessbuying a good 3xd cpu means you'll have less issues in future games when they stress the cpubottlenecks isnt a good way to think about it outside of "this part is shit and this other part is premium"
>>108078114They are for a very good reason.
>>108078298Holy fuck just go buy it
>>108078357idk why people talk about future bottlenecks as if they aren't just going to swap cpus the next time something shiny comes outeven if you don't you're going to become progressively more gpu bottlenecked unless you swap gpus
>>108078328The tranny always makes the threadsGet a job
>>108078357After looking into it a bit more, I realize my cpu is actually really really out of date. So I may just upgrade after all.
>>108078309i think 80% of the raster for 50% of the price ain't bad. Some people don't give a shit about what nvidia offers for all the extra $
>>108078464It really isn'tDon't let the hysterics meme you into a another $700+ purchase for something you may or may not notice
>>108078497you do realize the idea was to spend 200$ on a new mobo for 12600k in 2026
>>108078497My cpu is Intel i5-12600KFm which is almost 6 years old now.It seems like a bad idea to waste $200 on a new motherboard for something that old.
>>108078268>entirely new (for real-time rendering) lighting engine that also works for providing accurate real-time reflections>a memePick one. Hair has also gone to shit since hairworks and furworks were sunset. Phsyics have been SHIT since hardware physX was sunset too.
>>108078601Go be a retarded Canadian faggot you nicobabby
>>108075826It's... alright, considering the prices now.Unbelievable I got a 9070XT for just 20 more...
