technology designed to screw you

It's easy enough to get around, plus you can print your own and BMW can't do shit about it.
>>
>>108091648
only turks and overweight bavarians drive a BMW
>>
>>108091664
You worm.
>>
>>108091648
I'm pretty sure I have several drivers that can turn that already, and cutting out a bit of a flathead would take 5 seconds anyway.

BMW is becoming new apple
They even break their old cars via updates, just like apple.
>>
>>108092094
thats also android tho
>>
getting rid of my bmw was the 2nd best decision of my life right after starting investing. cars and especially bmw`s are literal money pits. 20% of my work week/salary was dedicated just for the car (maintenance, insurance, tax, repairs, depreciation, etc.). For most people its other work an additional day a week and own this shit or just use a bus and work 20% less lol
>>
Those cunts will do shit like this and blame regulations for their failure while begging for government subsidies.
>>
>>108092164
my android works the exact same way as it did when i bought it 4 years ago. sounds like an iNigger problem lel
>>
>>108092797
how about not making me go through the humiliation ritual of buying another screwdriver that's useless for everything else?
>>
>>108092291
For real, I thought the EU was all about standardization and right to repair and shit, they forced Apple to use USB C instead of their already common lightning bolt connector. How the fuck do they reconcile that with gay proprietary screws?

This is a great example of how fake stories get amplified by righteous outrage.

The screw is real, but it's purpose is cosmetic. BMW designed it for use in areas where the owner might see a screw head to give it an elevated appearance. It's not going to replace regular fasteners and wasn't designed for security.

government is slow to act. i imagine within a year or 2 they will act but not anytime relatively soon.
>>
>>108093168
Thank you BMW's PR agency for correcting the record on this. I see you even included a tranime image with your post in an attempt to seem like an authentic poster. Not bad but we can still see through the facade.

been using unironically public transportation for the last 2 years, mostly just the bus.

Brown people car brand

we have a special ticket here in germany, its 63€ per month. I can literally use every kind of public transportation in the whole country (bus, train and everything else that falls under public transporation). so I am not limited to just my city.
>>
>>108091648
Never seen that bolt head on any of my BMWs

>Then don't buy a shit car

I don't drive and am not likely to start anytime soon. But is there such a thing in the current year as a car manufacturer that either openly rejects or simply doesn't practice anti-ownership anti-repair subscription-based air conditioning remote shutdown bullshit? I was under the impression they're all guilty of it one way or another.
>>
>>108093501
It's the law, they aren't allowed to sell good cars anymore
>>
>>108093495
That's a steal for unlimited train rides.
>>
>>108093526
I know there's laws that mandate certain features or standards. That's not what I'm asking. I'm asking if there's a car manufacturer out there that *isn't* actively trying to fuck with your ability to repair it or to own it.
>>
>>108093612
it's subsidized by the government

Suzuki maybe?
>>
>>108093174
Seems like something as basic as screws and bolts would have been attended to and standardized long before random shit like phone connectors.

i... genuinely haven't seen anyone do that in like 25 years.

>Live between two cities
>Like taking the train to either of them on a whim, only ~45 minutes to either city
>DB cancels train service between two said cities until June
>Schienenersatzverkehr turns a 45 minute train ride into a two hour bus ride that either gets cancelled, shows up late, or crowded to the fucking gills India style
>Still have to pay normal fare / normal Deutschland Ticket prices
Thanks DB
>>
>>108093495
>63€ per month
lool in the UK you'd easily pay that much for two round trips on inter-city trains. you basically have to be a schmuck to pay it, you either learn to dodge the fares, or you get your work to pay for it.

that's illegal, those screws are the property of BMW, you only have a license to use them in their car

This is not a security feature, this is a marketing concept and it worked because you shared it.
