>here is your browser binary built by a literal who with 10 followers on github, bro

Shut up. Everything on Flathub is super safe, including this red web browser. It goes through screening and extensive source code analysis by a team of security experts and even then, all software you install from Flathub is completely and properly sandboxed. GNOME + Flathub is the golden standard of a safe and secure operating system in today's world.

You Nativoids needs to die already. Flathub won the packaging war. It's the new de-facto standard of shipping applications on Linux. Just you fucking wait, I will upload more and more malicioud trojan in the AUR this year. I will destory and burn its reputation to the ground. Meanwhile you Archivoids cannot touch my precious Flathub. This is a war.
>>
>>108092695
The flathub one is actually built by UGC team themselves. The UGC appimages are provided by a rando. Even though the flatpak is at least provided by UGC theres apparently issues with chromium sandboxing in flatpak, Brave for example recommends against using their flatpak.
>>
>>108092719
No one cares what the Brave team recommends, they are not security experts like the Flathub team. Flathub is safe and secure. It's sandboxed. It's the golden standard.
>>
>>108092734
Brave is a 100 million dollar company that employs actual security experts around the clock. Flathub is a FOSS hobby project.
>>
>>108092734
grapheneOS team agrees and they are infinitely more knowledgeable than fucking flathub made by a few fedora project hobbyist rejects lol. Mozilla agrees as well.
>>
yes, one man army, fully trust this model.

never trust the project with lots of kekolds, 's like group chats with 4955 bots and "team" of 5 nobodies in there.
>>
>>108092766
>muh money
Next you will tell me that you trust Microslop and Jewgle because they have a gazillion dollarinos. Flathub is where security actually matters. Flathub has a team of security experts who actually care about me, their user. You better shut up about Flathub. Don't spread FUD about it.
>>
>>108092782
GrapheneOS is run by a jealous schizo who calls everything except GrapheneOS insecure. He is a retard who threw a melty over a Jewtuber. And don't fucking mention Mozilla's name to me. They are dead to me. Those fuckers can shove their AI LLM model crap up their stinky pajeet assholes. Their CEO can eat literal shit and cow piss and die. Fuck Mozilla.
>>
how is this related to yer flat penis hub and brave browser retards. get back to sewers
>>
schizo thread
>>
>>108092840
well that logo of ungoogled chromium was especially made because it had to be uploaded to flathub and they wanted to avoid legal bullshit
>>
>>108092766
Wait 100 million is the number of active users. Actual revenue is less than that, looks like a few tens of millions according to some Google results. Still the point is they have resources to hire security people. Not to dump on Flathub or anything.

I always thought maintainers built it themselves. Sure they are literal whos, but who you chose to trust anyway.

Don't care about autism wars, but geez that's a lot of buzzwords
>>

Looks like a war of literal whos vs literal whos for who has the most attention of normieslop
>>
>>108093748
NOT using Flatpaks from Flathub qualifies as autism. Imagine being a Nativoid. Couldn't be me. That's almost as bad as being a pajeet.

Do you get paid to advertise the stuff?

He is the resident fedora atomic, gnome, flatpak loving, arch hating anon. I don't have any opinion on his choice of software, but he's quite vocal. Actually this thread wasn't even about flatpak but about the unofficial binaries, but there you go.

>Windows is nowhere to be seen
Reading this made me realize that I was trusting one of the most important pieces of software in my PC (web browser) to a random, faceless dude who could easily go rogue one day and take over my stuff with little to no friction (since nobody would ever notice until it's too late)
I went back to using Firefox as my main driver and use Edge for websites where Chrome is mandatory.
Having a safe and trustworthy Chromium-based browser on Windows is apparently a tall order these days, unfortunately.
