any of u anons ever used a trackball mouse before? my elbow is completely fucked from using a mouse all day at work but the toil never ends so am trying to fix myself
>>108109661I main thumbballs for some 20 years now, can only recommend M575 out of all pictured here.Clits are also great for mousing as you type, without moving hands at all.
>>108109661Switch to a vertical mouseMake sure your hand isn't higher than your elbowLearn to use high sensitivity and move your mouse with just your thumb and pinky
>>108109661I'm using a ball fondling mouse M575 at home for doing MCAD and general use while sitting comfily on my recliner. TV as monitor to avoid eye strain, HHKB on my lap. I couldn't imagine spending this much time on a computer sitting upright on a fucking desk like most people seem to do. It's a great setup for everything but playing FPSs competitively but I'm more into slow games that don't require high reaction speed.Make sure to regularly pop out the ball and clean the rollers if the ball starts to become sluggish. Otherwise the M575 is a reliable HID.
>>108109661I'm very happy with a Kensington SlimBlade Trackball.
No but I'm pretty curious about them, was just researching all about it the other day. It seems it's the first thing people with all sorts of injury try. I'm fine but would like to try nonetheless. The prices can crazy, but it seems the Kensington Slimblade and Elecom Huge are good offers if you want something big. There's also some Canadian company whose name I forgot that 3d-prints the plastic shell, but installs pretty high-end components, so that could be an even better deal. There is a big enthusiast / DIY community for trackballs out there as well.
>>108109661I used a logitech m575, kensington slimblade, mx vertical, apple magic trackpad. Everything will give you rsi if used too much, the trick is switching between various devices often. I settled with the mx vertical and the magic trackpad (yes it works on linux with full gesture support)
>>108109661I have a Deft Pro and I adore it. I felt like a retard spending so much money on a mouse, but it's a million times better. When I was picking which mouse to get I was particular about getting one I could articulate with my index and middle fingers, because I could easily imagine my thumb cramping up or getting numb if I were to try to navigate with it.
>>108111461is it linux compatible? website says only windows and macOS
>>108111513Works fine. I use over bluetooth on my laptop. I even set up the buttons to do things in my Emacs.
>>108109661I use an MX Ergo, it's not bad but go with a fingerball instead especially if portability isn't that big a deal. Thumbballs risk thumb strain
>>108109717>thumb on ballI see many advise against those as uncomfortable and unergonomic. Pic is what I got, used to be very affordable but it's been discontinued.
