You start learning the vim motions and you think "it's not for me". But then you catch yourself thinking about them. You notice how you could use one to quickly jump somewhere in a text or program. So you go back and you get pulled in.Next you notice how there's no Run button, what should you do? Then you see how simple building/running programs from the terminal actually is. The plugins are unnecessary, albeit handy. VS Code makes it look like rocket science.
