If it was as simple as making a purchase using a credit card, which involves providing your legal name and address, then it wouldn't be an issue because that's something they already have on file for tons of users and has security measures in place to protect that info. Instead they're asking for images of your face so they can feed it into an AI, and even then it only provides an estimate rather than an actual verification, meaning if you have an issue with the generated estimate you have to go through support which is where all that data leaked. The entire process is fucked, and it's obviously more about getting biometric data on you than actual verification.
