Why does it feel like technological improvements only ever enable worsening conditions rather than improving experience experiences in ways that mirror the computational advances?Everything's more powerful than 20 years ago but everything is also worse.
>>108112080because the jews weaponize anything that makes life easier. >here's a new tool to make you do your job 2x faster>now you're expected to do your job 2.25x faster or they'll replace you with an indian who won't (can't) complain.

>>108112080We are not as technologically advanced as we think we are.Almost allnof the technology out there is dogshit. Broken, full of security vulnerabilities, broken code, unoptimized, trash hardware, unreliable... No, we're not technologically advanced.
>>108112080K economy.
Most software developers are retarded autists who should be spending their lives in open cages, but because the first developers were retarded autists already they built systems that filtered out most non-autistic people. If you want better software, first scan people for autism, then strip them of their ill-gotten human rights and put them in cages, where they cannot do any harm. Same with Indians. Then we might still have a chance.>and yes, that includes Torvalds
>>108112080>Everything's more powerful than 20 years ago but everything is also worse. We has much tech workers, but they not really capacities to exercise their functions in area.
>>108112080The "living standard improvement" phase of technology is very short compared to the "exploit it for money" phase. Tech improved many aspects of life back in the 2000s. Netflix, Google, smart phones, social media, ect. Its cool to shit on these things now, but back then they were revolutionary and improved life drastically. That era is over. Now its just the same crap. The only improvements come from someone inventing a new way to use these technologies to extract money from people with zero concern for negative societal deficit. I had hope for AI, but it seems to have skipped the "improve living standards" phase completely and went directly to "fuck everyone over" phase.
>>108112140>>108112080don't worry Op, I got you. It's about the entropy. It's impossible to stay on top of shit. Learning and compatibility, plus true enshitification. Which many g posters have.>Js to jQuery to MERN to dozens of js frameworks (although bun is the final solution to simplify shit, npm bloat stil exists). Even Anubis uses a literal who js framework. It's tiresome.>c to cpp to cpp 11 17 21 whatever>single node, to sharding, to global nodes with cloudflare and bot protection>cookie banners, ad blocks not working sometimes, kuroba ex captchas not working, 4chan trying to access your local network
>>108112312>AI, but it seems to have skipped the "improve living standards" phase completely and went directly to "fuck everyone over" phase.how? grok, chatgpt, and many other platforms like remove.bg provide mind blowing services for free, for YEARS. Seriously explain how this constituted fucking everyone over. Be specific.
>>108112351Its usefulness to normal people is on par with just googling shit. It hasn't improved their lives much, and the entire ROI calculation depends on it replacing them at work.
>>108112351Do you really think the billionaire owner class is pushing in every last cent of investment into this technology because they think it will help the plebs ? Or the more likely explanation because it is an obvious path to total and permanent economic domination of the owner class over all of humanity.
>>108112140>worse how?The year is 2006. You are bored. You whip out your phone and play Tetris. Everything works fine. Once you're done with that, you decide to watch TV. You don't have to make an account or install an app or anything. You just flip through the channels and see what's on. Most of it is vapid trash by 00s standards but hey, it's all made by humans on at least a moderate budget. When you're finished watching television, you spend some time listening to music. You peruse your CD collection or scroll through your iPod or whatever and pick a record. You have your own curated library full of music you've largely familiarized yourself with to the point where you remember it all like the back of your hand. You pick a record and listen to it. Quality is good, there's no ads. Later, you order a pizza over the phone, eat some of it and go to bed.
>>108112648The year is 2026. You are bored. You whip out your phone and play Tetris. The program now weighs 6 GB and interrupts the game every 90 seconds to show you ads for erectile dysfunction pills. The game is laggy as fuck and makes your phone run hot for unknown reasons. You no longer have access to physical buttons so the controls are also all fucked up and you keep making accidental inputs. This isn't fun. You decide to watch TV instead. Well, "TV" as you knew it no longer really exists in the same form. Traditional "TV" still technically exists but the quality has nosedived since everyone stopped watching it and you likely don't own the hardware required to pick up a signal. The closest free equivalent would be YouTube, so you watch that. The YouTube app is no longer allowing you to watch as a guest and is now urging you to sign in, but this is the living room TV and you do not live alone. You don't want your family fucking up your recommendations, but you've learned a trick to remedy this: uninstall and reinstall the YouTube app. Once you're done doing that, you spend 30 minutes perusing through the home menu until you find something that doesn't look too bad only to discover is a 45-minute video consisting of piss yellow AI-generated images presented in slideshow format while a text-to-speech program recites a shitty script written by a chatbot that always writes everything the same way. Whatever. You're too apathetic to find something good or even passable.Later, you spend some time listening to music. The album you enjoyed last night and wanted to listen to again is no longer available. You give up and just let the algorithm bring you an endless conga line of music it guesses you'll like. 80% of it was made by one guy in his bedroom with just a laptop. The other 20% was generated by Suno and clearly sounds like it. Your earbuds die 30 minutes later because you forgot to charge their case.
>>108112654You order a pizza. The software client you usually use to do so is malfunctioning. You try calling but no one picks up, only an automated system that you've only ever had negative experiences with. Fuck it, you get off your ass and drive to the pizza place. No one's at the counter. There's only a couple giant touch screens people have been swiping at all day. You put your order in there and take your pizza home. Everything is the same, they're just worsening in ways that weren't computationally possible a couple decades ago.

And even for the uneducated reactionary awful people. Is that their innate nature? Decades of propaganda and ruining educations. Don't take the current state people are in for granted as if that's who they innately are and fully chose to be. >>108112080>Why does it feel like technological improvements only ever enable worsening conditions rather than improving experience experiences in ways that mirror the computational advances? That's only since the bullshit 'web 2.0' garbage started which was not technology but the arrival of talentless oligarchs in the us like zuckerberg and beezos and mush who coudl leverage their family wealth and trading desks to get financing otherwise unavailable. Technology generally DID improve both in quality and it imroved peoples lives mostly too up until (roughly) 2014-2016 or so, but the decline accelerated in 2020All that being said there has been NO actual technological progress since the late 90s, everything from neural nets to mobile data and plug and play, usb, GPUs, the internet, mobile data, messaging, online gaming, streaming, IP voice and video, wlans, digital video etc etc was already done by then. It improved in implementation (only) up to about a decade ago and then it fell off a cliffStrange as it may seem advertising and marketing was not viewed as any contibutor to the internet back in the late 90s, it was associate purely with spam, malware, scame, adware, pups, pop ups etc. Microsoft was not a marketing company back then, neither was Sun or HP or IBM etcNOW marketing has hijacked and destoyed neraly all those companies and the internet. See youtube. See cookies. See facebook etc etcWhat happened was relatively talentless but wealthy sociopaths arrived into technology (late) and destroyed it.However given that the collapse of the personal computer as we have known it and the internet is pretty much a sure thing within 5 years they will have ultimately destoyed themselves and what they touchedfairly quickly. Actual computing and technology ethudiasts are either leaving and getting to stuff like drones or retro computers or building private networks and media/data stores that are offline and have no internet connection by necessity and utility.
>>108113615
>>108113601What makes you think I don't like satanic pedophiles?
>>108112080You're mixing up correlation and causation. Yes quality of life / happiness metrics are the worst they've ever been. Yes technology has advanced insanely alongside that. Does that mean your life is worse because of the powerful devices and software around you? No, it just means your life and your country/community is so shitty you can't enjoy them.
>>108113643samefagLater on about 5-10 years form now you will begin to see these offlined networks start to connect to each other possibly directly or in a mesh but still with NO gateway to the pubic IP topology 'the internet' probably by some public band implementation of an aloha protocol with relatively short range and power, probably sub 5MW as friend and relatives start to connect their networks.Right now is a bad phase, personal computing at best will be a niche hobby in five years and the internet will be reduced down to a few thousand sites, probably less than 10000 but most people will only use a handful based on what apps are on their mobile/android/apple etc touch screen device. Of course these have no keyboard and their main method of creation is photos and short video clips. Or very short posts, like twitter. Idiocracy. Due to AI driven malware and scamming and exploitative subsciption charges the internet will begin to shrink and die, it's quite possible that stuff like facebook won't be accessable via a web browser at all in five years. Right now there are about 1.7 billion computers on the internet, most of them what you would consider obsolete maybe half. There are 7.8 BILLION mobile data users.
>>108113669These people don't believe in anything greater than themselves, be that satan or God. They are incapable of that. I studied white collar crime and trust and one phenomena over the last 20 years is the rise in the number of sociopaths as a percentage of senior management. Sociopahs are intelligent in one way only, manipulation of others, technology is an incomprehensible black hole to them in any detail. To them it gets reduced to 'I can spy on people!" and "How do I get money from that and make people thing I'm a genius while being sadistic?"
>>108113742OK, cool.I still prefer them on top of the heap.
>>108113765>OK, cool.>I still prefer them on top of the heap.Oh it's not good, see the age of kings and emperors. they are best connstrained by democracy which keeps them busy in pointless contests with each other and stops them from being able to do much harm, that's why democracies tend to be the most stable and prosperous places on earth. It's not that democracy producers good 'leaders' it's that it stops sociopaths from doing to much harm. The problem is the rise of the 'corprationn as one man' you always had examples that were meriocractic like Ford or Gates or howard hughes or whoever but the dynamics of modern finance has created a slew of them who percieve themselves to be oligachs and a valid (in their eyes) power wielder as an alternative to democracies, much as communists or fasist dicators did.. That is a problem. However they don't 'produce the goods' which is another reason the internet and personal computing will only decline as long as they are of influence in both, they cannot create, only destroy and cause misery (which delights them). They only characteristics are being born wealthy, wishing to be sadistic, wishing to be percieved as intelligent and manipulation, they can;t actually advance technology in any way because they are shit at it. If you ever meet oe in a crisis it's always fascinating because you say to them 'Its ok you can get a job' and they will reply with this wierd blank face and they will always say 'But I don;t know how do do anything' and they are not lying, their entire existence is based on them being able to manipulate other people into doing things they need or want.
>>108113885>Oh it's not goodIt absolutely is. Humanity deserves even worse. The more people die in absolute pain and misery, the better.
>>108112102>the indian also can't do the job 2.25x faster, in fact he will do it 0.5x as fast>he will also rape your children and preach hindoo mumblings>when the economy crashes because of this, you're the one paying for it
>>108113896Does that include you? If you surround yourself in wickedness and wicked people it is no suprise that you see all mankind as wicked. It's not, infact parental concern for offspring motivates a boader altruism and morality that is generally beificent and avoids extremism and sociopathic actors.
>>108113908>everyone know this yet nothing will happen because left wingers want this and right wingers have shown themselves to be the biggest fucking pussies god ever let through the door

>>108113908The Indians arrived late to the technology party in employment just as the bar was closing and the lights were going out. Thankfully they had no role whatsoever in the evolution of digital computers, wireless or cabled telephony and communciations, or the productivity and entertainment built on that thus far (or none of it would have worked). As it is they are all facing unemployment anyway. Another reason not to be on the intrenet though, do you really want to enter into commercial trust arrangements with companies largely staffed by Indians do don't even have the ability for moral reasoning or conduct any more than a rat does? It's completely alien to them, so do you want to trust them with your data and computying services? Of course not. There are MANY reasonns to prepare to be offline and they are one factor in the atrophying computing tech space as we have known it for the last 40 years At a guess I'd say they will all fight with each other to try and get jobs in real estate (and fail even harder there) .

>>108114092Hopefully I will end up in prison after having murdered you, bonus points if it's a DP state. Death row is nice and quiet, the cells are bigger, and the process takes over fifteen years at least.>of course I will have to make sure to hit aggravating factors, but don't worry, those are easy to find out
>>108114117I should probably explain that>fifteen years at leasthas yet another angle: during that time the state has to pay through the nose for DP-qualified attorneys that have to file all sorts of appeals and petitions to stall and delay the entire fucking process. It's the main reason why life without parole is much cheaper than sentencing someone to death - the fucking lawyer fees and court costs. If I remember correctly this is why King County essentially stopped seeking the DP, which of course is a little disappointing, but still.Regardless, this way I can inflict even more damage upon humanity.
>>108112174>kill your familyMarx viewed the family unit as part of captalism and thus an enemy. >make you baby transMaking babies trans would be going against capitalism since families are part of the capitalist system.>keep a refugee in your basementMarx only opposed capitalists exploiting immigrants, not immigration itself.
>>108114191The irony is that modern capitalist society has already destroyed the family. Women no longer need a husband to survive, and they're only biologically attracted to a small subset of males (unlike males who have unlimited sperm and have evolved to consider most women fuckable), so they only sleep with the top 10% Chads.

>>108112080The problem is monopoly power. The US stopped enforcing antitrust laws around the 70s because of retards from the Chicago School of economics, which says that monopolies are more efficient and will make things cheaper and better because of economies of scale. Note that we already tried this and it turns out monopolies just use their market power to stagnate everything, but we had to learn that lesson again for some reason. So right now we have a much of monopolies stagnating because they hate the idea of competition and will use their size and power to destroy it before it can really start to hurt them. This is why startups went from the dream of being the next big company to being eaten by the current big company. The solution to this is renewed antitrust and just breaking the big companies up, but the elites hate that because they're making a lot of money on the monopolies and society is full of doomers who can't imagine any other life. But ultimately the solution is to use the law to break up big companies and force the remnants to compete with anyone with a good idea. This is starting to happen in the US, but will probably take until another major Depression before it really gets going. The good news is that the AI bubble is getting ready to cause that Depression right now.
>>108115201>So right now we have a much of monopolies stagnatingI don't listen to ESLs on principle.>t. ESL
