Consider that Discord is going to implode very soon, and I'm happy of that (I never liked it), due to the censorship solutions they're going to implement, due to the "underage safety", to not mention all the other spyware messengers around, the best is returning to IRC. Thing is that it seems is almost desert right now. So where to connect?

Possibly networks with a serious IRC daemon, not like IRCnet where your hostname/IP is shared with the world in clear view.

Your comments?

 sudo echo nigger > [/etc/]hostname

problem?

IRC was always the townsquare.
None of these "modern" IRC knockoffs like Discord ever needed to exist.

I'm not a pajeet or a fucking islamic sand-nigger fiend that occupy all his time to fuss all the rest of the people present on this planet, only because the communists are covering or joining their perv lifestyles. I simply don't want to sell away my ID for nothing. And I'm fed up of all the bullshit these bunch of pedofiles are coming up just to try on seem being polite and caring people.

Thing is: there's a IRC network that it is worth connecting nowadays, considering that almost all the networks existing 20 years ago are disappeared? I don't want to connect in a unsafe old-daemon server, or being alone with 10 users connected (and usually all bots). I'm not looking for DCC warez or other fuckery, just a place where to meet and talk with others.

I would use any chat protocol if I had frens.

I like IRC, but have no one to talk to.

Our government is ruled by satanic child eating jewish pedos and you still go to your burger flipping slave job every day and you think an ID check will be enough for people to ditch something they are comfortable with after years of use and brainwashing?

I remember sending pictures of my asshole to old guys back when DALnet and other old IRC networks were around. Forgot most of the names but I remember the channels being pretty easy to find.
Good luck getting the "modern world" to accept that technology now

friction turns most normal people off.
>have to set up an IRC daemon to use my nickname on both my computer and phone simultaneously? nah
>no automatic media embeds? nah
>have to use another service for calls and screenshare? nah
most people's needs have evolved past IRC
