I have been trying for the entire day, uninstalling and installing multiple times, different versions. No luck. Tried the removers and scrubbers, still nothing. I'm using the latest, updated Windows 11. When I double click the program file it shows this message when it's the same file that I just clicked on. Maybe something screwed up in my Windows 11 installation or this is the latest security measure from Microsoft.
Use MAS. office activation doesn't require internet so its entirely user error if you can't get it to work.

>>108163195I pay for office, and for Excel basically. Libre Calc is just ass in comparison. Worse than Google Sheets, marginally faster than Google Sheets to proces a large data set than calcs but insanely slowly for something that runs on desktop and awful. It's also not interchangeable and simply incompatible. It doesn't calculate the same way and can give different issues vs Excel and Google Sheets, and doesn't support the same formula, cannot open Xlsm's etc.Google Sheets and Docs are a lot better, I'll jump to those first out of convenience, and then use Excel when I need to.

>>108163711Wrong, shit sucks hard. If all you do is open a basic document and save it, then you won't have issues. But it's shit for work and gets mogged by Google Docs, Sheets, etc.

Huh, lack of computability strangling adoption?>Slow refresh on pivot tables and formulae>UI lag>Tables lose behaviour >Slicers don't work or just lost altogether>Embedded objects open and save between Excel and Calc between different people fuck them up royally>Formula and function differences>No let>No lambda>No query >No power query, data models, daxIts fucked for actual work, not personal spreadsheets. In the small edge cases where Calc might be an option, it gets thoroughly shit on by Google Sheets, which also has let, lambda and query, which is particularly useful
