They didn't because desktops don't have space or temperature restrictions. Tablets are just nerfed laptops. tablets are honestly pretty neat. mine old one got damaged recently so i'm planning to pick up the new 12th gen iPad next month.that said I have no idea why you'd go beyond the base model (bumping it up to 256GB, pic related, is about 400 bucks). the upgraded models start at $600 and go into the stratosphere from there, but crucially all apple devices within a generation use the same CPU cores. you're just getting a few more of them on the upper level devices, and for any tablet tasks the base 2 big + 4 little is more than enough for any tablet tasks without skipping a beat into the 2030s. the LCD in the base model holds up fine, I guess if you are a fag who thinks they need a 120Hz OLED on their tablet go ahead and pay triple the price, but the performance is barely different and it seems an incredible waste to me.

What's a good Windows tablet for a decent price that can play shit games/support android emulation? Does that even exist or is the amount of hardware required to make that impossible at low prices? Am I better off just getting a shitty laptop?
Is the S10 fe + good enough as a companion tablet? Got a powerful PC at home so it would just be used for kinda lightweight stuff. The more demanding stuff would be writing lab reports and academic papers so having a lot of browser tabs and switching between pdfs, but I don't think it's gonna be a really common occurrence
