if you had to get a new phone now what would you choose
>>108183090That is the prettiest cell phone. I've seen in a very long time. Unfortunately it was made by Google so no sale. Anyone but Google.
>>108183090literally just 1 or 2 models behind the current one,, depending on what you can afford. almost never any reason to buy the latest one. there is no point to buying a new phone. graphene folks also said they would be partnering with an OEM soon, maybe best to hold off?
>>108183090iphone 17, unironically.pixel are low-range smartphones sold at an low high-end price, fuck them.the iphone 17 is the first iphone with most of the pro version features, it's a very good deal versus pixel, the only android smartphones worth buying thank to grapheneost. disgruntled pixel7+grapheneos user
>>108183090Pixel 10 pro xl back on November black Friday sale like I did when I heard the new graphene os OEM partner wouldn't be ready this year. Now I wouldn't get a new phone until the new OEM device is released. It will be better than a pixel
>>108183852Made the swap to iOS from pixel 6+graphene and been happy so far, apples walled garden does suck though
>>108183926>apples walled garden does suck thoughyeah I don't plan on living inside the ecosystem as ecosystems are prisons and I don't feel good being locked up for no reason.
>>108183090Seriously considering one just because it doesn't have a stupid camera tumor. I hate the way my current phone flaps about on any flat surface.
>>108183090I was on Graphene for like 5 years and I just got a new phone. It's a Pixel 9A. I already flashed Graphene on it.
>>108184320Wtf are you me?I just got it 3 days ago.
>>108183400why are you larping as indian?
>>108183090currently have the 10 and I wanted to get the 10a but the fact that it doesnt have Qi2 magnets is kinda a downer. cause right now I dont need that much processing power but the battery and color scheme (berry) were really appealing to me
>>108183090The color choices were awful. Don't get the white one, it's ugly. Charcoal is the correct choice, but also most expensive and sold out.
Just ordered a 9a, as my trusty s10e is fully dead. Ear speaker stopped working, and its just not cost effective to replace. Why in the actual fuck is this phone so big though?
>>108185743Have you found the "one-handed" feature where you can pull down the top of screen halfway to help reach shit?...it doesn't work for accessing the notifications/quick-settings menu.
>>108185795I am just exceptionally small. the s10e is on the larger range of what I wanted for a phone, and yes I made extensive use of the one handed mode it offered. Pic is holding an se2020 case and the 9a case respectively.I tried since November to get an SE3 or 13 mini because its the perfect sized device for me, but its basically impossible to find a nice, non-refurbished, model here.
>>108183090>what would you chooseProbably a used or discounted Pixel a version. I'm also interested in their new phone partner. If Graphene wouldn't be an option, probably some android phone + rom with a re-lockable bootloader. >Graphene + pixel or new partner brand.>Android + FOSS ROM + re-lockable bootloader>iOS>Mainstream Android phone.
>>108183090Last gen a series pixel. GrapheneOS makes your phone a tool and should be treated as such. If you gayme or constantly caring about shit like muh camera then go by the latest Samshit or Crapple phone.
>>108183884I've never understood the term OEM. is it synonymous with Google here?
>>108183852google does heavy price anchoring for the pixels, the pixel 10 is only $600 right now and the pixel 9 $400
>>108183090I got a pixel 9a for grapheme. Very happy with it. Its a nice small little phone with good battery life.
i have a Pixel 8 as its the smallest phone supported by GrapheneOS. Battery life was absolute dogshit on cellular connection but after I switched my network provider it got quite good and it can now last a whole day on one charge instead of needing to be charged in the afternoon. Still not a great phone in any way. Oh also the screen broke and the repair pajeet put the stock ROM on again.
>>108184060just place it screen down lol
>>108183090>nowThat's tough. In march they will announce their OEM partnership and the phone will release sometime next year. I'd probably go with a cheap, used 7a or 8a and then see who they are partnering with. Also, it could take a while before the 10a gets GrapheneOS support. Or it could not. Who knows.
