Do you bother with upscaling - I tried and base seems like it is better without upscaling at all.
I mean, every image I genned were so and so but there is always something wrong.
In your images I don't see any of that.
This is why I asked because it looks like 'distilled'.

I still tried using the old workflow with an older model and it just gave different cooking and less detail

well, when you untangle the mess of custom string nodes and whatever that lora setup is, it's a bog standard setup without the flux shift and without the t5 tokenizer settings

47-flash is the cleanest model for me, but it still artifacts sometimes

what other models did you try? chroma is pretty big compared to zturbo/klein distilled, maybe try one of the chroma-flash checkpoints, those are comparable with cfg 1 and low steps

like I said, all other models work flawlessly. I tried z-image just fine, flux 2 klein just fine, wan2.2 somehow runs albeit slowly

I am using the flash model, but the non-flash version was even more messed up on NPR material, looked like one of those deformed scribbles you'd get on SD1.0 without masterpiece prompting

hmm, okay maybe it is a precision issue that disproportionately affects cartoon styles

I have not seen this kind of issue with any kind of other quant, at most it affects like, its ability to do good compositions, or lacking details or something. I run Q4 on flux2 without this kind of shit. very strange.

all others fail in some smaller or larger ways even with a less cooked model or a less challenging scene

Lads, need a suggestion for image to video with video as a driver workflow, what's everyone's using currently? For character switching from reference to the target video, or rather regenerating the video with the referenced character?

I tried wan animate with a video reference and wan vace, but results weren't great, wondering if I should try working in this direction or maybe there's a better way. Would appreciate any tips

I was thinking about generating some images as keyframes, then somehow generating the video in betweeen them, I think I saw a wan workflow for this. But it feels like it should be easier, idk
I would like to voice a character and record their movement and then bring it to life, kind of like deepfake but give more control to the model to not strictly replace the character in the video but rather have it breath life into one... Grok for example does okay with generating a video, but it's so unpredictable and the performance of the character is too AI still.
