Still looks worse than gnome.
>>108183362Why are kdefags so incompetent?https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/1r7xqzc/just_updated_to_66_and_seeing_this/They keep fixing bugs in patch releases only to reintroduce them in the next minor. Is Qt the problem? Maybe C++?They have infinite Valve money, there's simply no excuse anymore. Even Cosmic is less buggy.
>>108183681interesting. I guess no one really is maintaining the X11 session.https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=515116
>>108183681thats cool its like it's moving on it's own its alive

>>108184259Do you have proof these are the developers of KDE and not just a fanclub hosted in India?
>>108186081They either don't care or are incompetent. It has been how many years now, and they still depend on Qt? Why are they implementing a single new feature without closing all existing bugs first? It's insane.
>>108183681>using x11 in 2026gnomefags are really desperate lol
>>108186081ive never seen 4 finger swipes anywhere outside cosmic

>>108186081> four fingersNo, what's retarded is that they had the same gesture mapped to 3 and 4 fingers. That can be remedied: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/kwin-without-gesturesI am working on packaging this for openSUSE and implementing a config system. The SuSE packages are already working, but I really want configurability, and clearly the kwin devs aren't actually going to implement it after they had their little funded dev weekend + dance-off about gestures last summer.
The only reason KDE isn't dead is Gnome shooting themselves in the foot with their own retardation. Most developers don't want to use Qt and prefer GTK. SSD is a retarded concept nobody else uses: both Windows and macOS use CSD. Gnome isn't wrong in using CSD, they're wrong in not providing default decoration as a part of the toolkit like Windows does. If Gnome devs weren't so far up their own ass and struck a better balance between design and usability, and actually bothered to listen to their users, KDE would still be extremely niche. The only thing KDE did well is KWin. It's way better than that piece of shit Mutter. But I can't forgive them for needlessly fragmenting the ecosystem by reinventing the wheel for solved issues.
>>108183681>>108183712>X11Literally why?
>>108187727>you see if Gnome weren't dogshit then it would be better than KDEOK but Gnome is dogshit and here we are.

>>108183362you convinced me OP. I will now use KDE Plasma TM
>>108187786>Gnome is dogshitwhy do you lie? Gnome literally just works. I remember installing KDE 6 and having components coredumping within minutes of using it. You can live in delulu la la land, but at least Gnome shit "just works"
