Has notepad++ gotten your trust back after the recent fiasco?
>>

I stopped using it when I moved to 10. I'm on 11 now and the default Notepad with dark mode is great.

they never lost it because I'm not a terminally online sensationalism driven content consuming weirdo. also I don't use auto update in anything for precisely that reason.

I stopped trusting it right around the time last year (in June) when the dev told everyone that he was too lazy to pay for a real code signing cert, so they should just add his self-signed cert into the Trusted Root CAs on their device.
Coincidentally, Notepad++ was "hacked" not even a month after that.

i have my own text editor that i coded. it's a simple vim clone without all the bloat like netrw or highlighting. basically just buffers and windows with vim motions.

>On a fucking souped up version of Notepad
I'm more shocked by how they got their shit hacked honestly

i stopped using it 10 years ago when the dev had a meltie over trump voters

But if it didn't have autoupdoots how could you know that the "developer" supports the CIA-approved cause of the month?
>>
How many software can boast a double lock security, notepad++ is the only trustable software now
>>

Dude, that just got hacked

Then why are you on /g/?

The "fiasco" was overblown. It was a highly targeted attack, not a widely explored vulnerability. And it was immediately fixed.
