The future of open source projects
That must be great news since AI is supposedly better than 99% of expert programmers.
>>108186150Yeah, if certified tech CEO Sam Altmanovich said so, it must be true!
>>108186150Unfortunately AI is not very good at low level stuff yet like using graphics api
>>108186129AI makes open source irrelevant. I can just tell AI to make me whatever project and then I can tell another AI to do the legwork to turn that product into a business. I'm a multimillionaire overnight. AI is the future.
>>108186162>low level stuff yet like using graphics apithat's not low level, that's high level
>>108186129Based indians are now submitting randomly generated sloppas instead of readmes
>>108186129just tell ai to make this problem go away, easy. i recently told it to make it so that there aren't any problems in general anymore, so you might not even have to do that. you are welcome
>>108186182Open Source will remain relevant at least in the short term with new tech stacks & libraries that AI don't have much data on
>>108186162Be more specific and I will tell you why it's a skill issue.
>>108186204>that's not low level, that's high levelThe goalposts moved because for all practical purposes there's no lower level than Vulkan/D3D12 since it's basically just a thin layer over and above the driver. We aren't doing retained mode and the full GL stack anymore. You have some buffer objects and a shader compiler. All the code is yours in a cut down C. Going lower than that you'd need to fight nVidia for the register map and reimplement their shader compiler.
>>108186129freecad would be a easy target but so far I saw nothing good.
>>108186129This is just unity or unreal devs running slop agents to sabotage godot
Dang we really are going to have to archive every version of Unreal/Unity before they're full of that plus the always online spyware garbage that creeps in for usage metrics.
>>108186129I really don't see how it's possible to make Godot any worse.
>>108186129>AI code submissionI read that as "AI code subhuman".
>>108188097why do usage metrics unnerve you?
>>108186150AI is an ouroboros that inevitably becomes self-referential until everything stops working in a cacophony of nonsense.
I have over time come to the realization that you AI-vegans might be my least favorite on this board. It's not that you fags fill the catalogue with ragebait, but your constant bumping of threads that no one cares about from page 10 for literal dozens of hours and pretending to be outraged, slowly but thoroughly annoys me a lot.
>>108186129>the current state of journalism>pc gamer cobbles together an article>10 other websites rewrite it with AI and never check the primary sources
