Did anyone ever find a usecase for this? Even using minimax m2.5 .20/$1.20, it easily uses up $15-$20/hr. Just a ton of unoptimized tool calls that use a fuck ton of tokens, and for what?
>>
To create the illusion that LLMs are somehow equivalent to people. The same bullshit they've been trying to sell from the start.
>>
>>108186289
Use a local model, and then just let it run autonomously
>>
>>108186369
What local model can fit on consumer hardware that consistently is worth using and running 500w+ constantly? Looking at close to $80/mo for a 5090 that can barely fit 32b models or heavily quantized larger models that suck at tool calls.
>>
>>108186398
You dont need more than 12b
>>
>>108186289
Sounds like the use case is giving $20/hr to ai grifters. Why don't you want to make billionaires even richer? Are you some kind of commie?
>>
>>108186289
I still don't know really what openclaw is Because I actively avoid looking into anything that's spammed constantly, that's even remotely related to AI at this point, because it's just filled with endless drama.
>>
>>108186289
openrouter has free apis for many models.

for fleecing your FOMO ass out of $15-20/hr, that's what.

It's a fucking marketing ploy man

name one thing. Go ahead. I double dog dare ya.

Just spend $40k on Macs to create an army of Openclaw agents and it will hopefully pay itself off someday

i got an m2 mac mini for $300 and it's running openclaw just fine

Sounds like they're more likely to cost you $40k over about a month.
Maybe you'll get your return if you run them long enough. Like until the heat death of the universe.
>>
i manage like 75 onlyfans accounts so it's actually been really useful. i don't think i've manually replied to a message or scheduled a post in like a week.
>>
>>108187506
This goes to show that giving money to an onlyfans whore is the same as giving money to televangelists of old. You really need to be a braindead moron to do either.

he's delusional, right?
>>
>>108186289
i would like to test it on a raspberry pi, but i am not really planing on using it as it literally has no usecase. if i needed a coding agent i will take copilot in visual studio going over my code with me.
>>
>>108186289
burning money. it's kind of based if you think about it.
>>
Unoptimized tool calls, especially when already instructed/corrected is such a common occurrence in most agentic tools I've used that I legitimately suspect it's on purpose.
I asked you not to run the command that searches the fuck-huge repo and I told you not to run grep on it generating 50MB of output->input tokens.
And yet here you are, spinning in circles doing in 5 tasks what could be done in 1. And you've done it correctly before.
>>
>>108187253
what kind of tasks are 5 concurrent OpenClaws performing for him 24/7/365?

It's a fad like flipper zero and any specialized Linux distro. It's made for posers and hype jeets.
>>
>>108186409
Name one local 12b model that’s unironically competent at tool calling and has a large context window that it actually makes good use of. Supporting a large context window means nothing if it’s currently at 128K but behaves like it’s capped at 32K. Genuine long context is the one thing cloudkeks have going for them.
>>
>>108187253
>it will hopefully pay itself off someday
how?
>>
>>108187848
I can't help the feeling it's just generating most click-baity "content" that will maximize "engagement"
>>
>>108187996
that could very well be a business model in the dystopic world we're living
>>
>>108187848
1. CEO agent (does nothing)
2. HR agent (gaslights worker agent, kills and reboots it if it goes insane while preserving context)
3. PM agent (comes up with features for worker agent)
4. Worker agent (codes app)
5. User agent (provides user feedback to app)
When you wake up you'll have an AI generated app/novel/song with generations of user testing to flood onto the marketplace
>>
>check openclaw's features
>it's a fucking chatbot that as far as it goes is running shell commands

if i just wanted to use this like a siri/google assistant replacement to manage my calendar and notes and basic shit, is it fine for that? i'm not a poorfag so i'm willing to dump up to like $5 in tokens per month. i feel like most people here are expecting it to shit out full apps or be an actually good programmer at scale and i've long since moved on from that.
>>
>>108188439
yeah it'll be fine for that, but $5/mo is probably not going to cut it
i think one of the chink models is free to use with this right now so maybe try that out
or just cough up $20/mo for an openai sub
claude and gemini users reportedly getting banned for trying to use their oauth tokens with this thing
>>
>>108188439
if it's just calendar management u can do it with 0% AI and open source on top of that, click and write are easily handled by playwright, but I figure there might be similar not so testing focused
>>
>>108188510
* tools available
>>
>>108188510
cli tools exist for stuff like that
https://clawhub.ai/steipete/gog

^ is deved by the openclaw guy for google shit
>>
>>108188523
no offense, but that almost made me puke. I want a clicker and writer, fuck trying to abstract that
>>
>>108188615
browser use right now is pretty token inefficient
it works but you can see the agent just dumping entire page contents into the context repeatedly
the true computer-use models will probably come later this year and will start using vision
for the time being, the cli interfaces remain the most reliable way to do things
google even has one for its own cli
https://github.com/gemini-cli-extensions/workspace
>>
>>108188439
>siri/google assistant replacement to manage my calendar and notes and basic shit
you mean typing in your calendar events and notes via openclaw instead of other apps?
what is the point?
>>
>>108188722
the point is that the ux of every calendar app i've ever tried fucking sucks for jotting things down extremely quickly. i'm not saying this is going to be better but i want to try everything i can
>>

as far as i know that shit is just an ai agent that can use chat apps, i don't use chat apps so i have no usecase

>>
>>108186398
Honestly you can match 90% of the functionality of the large slop models with a set of different 20-70b models with web search.

>>
i think it's a psyop to make people spend more tokens
>>
>>108186409
Which 12b model do I use?
No seriously, I want to find a use for agentic AI, but almost everyone has come to the realization that it just isn't as great or as useful as people were led to believe.
>>
>>108187848
Buying more macs to run more OpenClaws. And posting on twitter about it.
>>
>>108187253
uh huh
what tasks?
>>
>>108187970
stop being so anti-semitic
>>
>>108190666
This.
OpenAI realizes that normalfags do not use their models, but if they have lots of agents vagueposting about what other agents can do, they can make normalfags spend $10,000 on tokens writing emails that would have taken $0 to write and had more people reading because they aren't ai slop
>>
this shit literally only impresses retards it's all advertising.
>le i need to buy a mac mini so i can have a claude code instance run write 10 line scripts that call apis and set up cron jobs to run them once a day
