You're not ACTUALLY giving yourself brain cancer wearing headphones are you??

I’m already filled with toxic chemicals from the 99 other modern products
>>
>>108190878
I've replaced the earcups like 4x at this point. The clothes I'm wearing have a blend of 70% cotton 30% polyesther. If you're worried, you shouldn't be wearing socks and underwear and undershirts/tees with synthetic materials. It's all made in 3rd world countries questionable shit and even worse is recycled plastics in loose fibers in shit like patagonia fleece. That shit is getting absorbed into your skin. Then of course there is cooking in plastic, no more tv dinners, no more plastic water bottles, no more meal prepping outside of glass/ceramics. And then there is glazes in the ceramics/glass. Cheap shit may have lead in the glaze. And then there is meats, which have microplastics embedded in the meat itself with the worst culprits being chicken and pork and the least plastics in the meat being beef and lamb. Fish? Extremely saturated with chemicals and microplastics.
>>
>>108190976
I don't understand how most of that Patagonia type shit isn't baned at least in developed countries. Same with wool that is dipped in plastic fumes to make it shrink proof. It's fucking ridiculous that we have to use paper straws yet big corpos can polute everything with actual micro plastics. Outdoor gear is worst

I know before I read it that its the same few toxic endocrine disruptors that are in everything because corporate fucktards have made the most stupid amongst us in this country oppose even literal
>it makes your dick smaller, not work, and you get chemical uses being regulated. You don't need PFAS in everything, or pthalates, or bisphenols or any of this other garbage. Corporations slapping cheapest 'faux-leather " or whatever chemical coated 'fabric' is the problem. None of this is necessary, there are alternatives and they'd be even cheaper if we subsidized shit besides outright poison.
>>
One of the things in the article that I'm concerned about is the lumping of everything together into touching skin, not touching skin, wire and then giving green, yellow or red rating.
When you look at the compounds in each category, most of the headphones and earphones have the same compounds, but end up with different color ratings, but any one of those compounds could change the rating from green to red.
Was it one of the less concerning compounds? Was it one of the more concerning compounds? Some of the criteria for exposure comes from a 2025 guideline, was it a recently changed guideline that they're failing on?

Isn't that from the use of glue?
Uncured glue/joont adhesive VOCs gives me focal migraine aura symptoms(visual flashes) somehow, then you need to be aware that even when fully cured studies show that it continuously emits VOCs
Also for fellow anons who care about this stuff(i assume you do if you clicked on this thread), one of the most common and dangerous polluants you can get rid of in your blood is lead and other heavy metals, you can reduce its presence to undetectably low levels by ingesting chlorella algae, look it up it really works, there may be other things that have similar effects

>>108191936
The vast majority of microplastics you encounter and ingest do not come from food, they come from textiles. Clothes, carpets, curtains, it's all plastic and it all sheds nanoparticles that you breathe in all day long. The amount of plastic you get from food is miniscule compared to the amount you breathe in.

You can minimize the impact of microplastics, just use alternatives. There are also ways to remove them from body (some).

actual problem is breathing in microplastic particles (mostly from clothes) and ingesting them

It doesn't you idiot. It may damage your hearing when the feedback circuitry fails and blasts your ear-balls at full blast but ANC doesn't cause hearing loss as it's lowers the acoustic energy that's entering your ear-canals.

Most IEMs have mystery meat 'silicone' that degrades in bizarre ways and is obviously not body safe.

So soft plastics/fake leather full of BPA's thanks to softening agents and using fabric ear pads should be less likely to make my dick completely limp?
>>
>>108204015
>but ANC doesn't cause hearing loss as it's lowers the acoustic energy that's entering your ear-canals.
That's not how noise cancelling works.
In fact, it exactly doubles the acoustic energy that enters your ears because it receives both the original noise + the cancelled noise.
It's why people get headaches and that pressure feeling in their head when they enable ANC.
There are numerous studies showing that people who use ANC headphones suffer more from hearing related damage compared to those who used simple ear plugs.
>>
>>108207055
If you actually read the study, it explicitly says this is all only related to in ear earbuds that are made of plastic and over ears are excluded form the study. The other thing is that it's about sweating, so it's mostly only people that wear earbuds to the gym and sweat all over the plastic that are at risk.
