>its going to replace youthats like saying chainsaws replaced lumberjacks
Valid analogy until someone figures out a way for them to work efficiently unprompted
Today I wrote a plugin with React. It's not something exceptional but is pretty complex in it's segment- it uses few external libraries, encoder for processing uint8 arrays that give the software capabilities beyond its capabilities etc.The thing is I don't know and have never used React. I vibe coded it and it works like a charm.

Thats like saying coin-operated payphones are going to replace human payphone attendants

>>108191009They...they did anon. The same way tractors replaced farmers... The amount of wood a person uses has not increased by the same ratio that wood can be "produced" or rather cut down by a single person. So the discrepancy has resulted in significant job losses in the sector. Difference is, lumberjacks weren't highly paid white collar fags that potentially went into debt and spent years at a college/university to have a shot at this career path. If millions of previous well paid people lose their job and there's no immediate alternative employment in sight they and wider society just suffers. And unlike in the past, the modern job market requires significantly more specialization. Maybe in 10-20 years the job market has mostly recovered from the potential elimination of large parts of the white collar field, but for the people that would need to have steady and well paid employment to have children, provide for their families and save up for retirement such a transitional period can be devastating, and will likely be reflected in an even lower birth rate and a cohort of pensioners require massive state subsidies just to afford essentials... it's a bleak outlook.
>>108191009I'm guessing chainsaws reduced the number of lumberjacks you needed for a given amount of output.
>>108191197Yes they are, they were in military rations
>>108191009Sure if chainsaws replaced lumberjacks, hr workers, people in manegerial roles, coders, gamers, artists etc
