Did Dave Plummer just BTFO all of /g/'s anti-Windows arguments?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9ZADRy5W0c
>Explains how Windows corporate support is valuable
>Explains how Windows has many more developers
>Explains how Windows is better documented
>Explains how Linux has a terrible user interface
>Explains how open source software isn't secure
>Explains how the only reason Windows has security flaws is that it supports so many hardware configurations
>Explains how Windows security experts are better than the open source community
>Explains how open source software isn't tested
>Explains how Windows' target value is higher because everything important runs on windows
>Explains how Microsoft has never charged for an operating system upgrade
Where is YOUR evidence to back up your ridiculous claims about Windows? By all means, watch the whole video, i promise you that you can't debunk it.
>inb4 i get told to shut the fuck up by someone who hasn't watched the video and is triggered by these FACTS
>inb4 someone uses anecdotal evidence
>inb4 someone calls me a cuck
>inb4 "muh slide thread"
>inb4 "sage" because /g/tard is triggered by a different opinion
keep the discussion on topic and don't do anything that is mentioned above in the inb4 section. You should be open minded and watch the video instead and discuss it WITH SOURCES.

Linux doesn't make me sign into an online account.
>>
>>108191883
Can easily bypass using windows and there is still a official way to do it via the business version
>>
>>108191865
But we knew this already.
>>108191883
Basically this. I don’t trust or like microsoft.
>>
>>108191942
There are many ways to get rid of telemetry also, the Out of the box sign in also has a thing where you can just disable all tracking
>>
And macOS is all of this plus more and ten times better
>>
>>108191865
This retard is a shittycuck don’t you teenagers have anything better to do then make shit with us?
>>
I'm not using the copilot powered notepad.exe
>>
>>108191967
Why would anyone want to use MacOS it can’t run shit and despite how powerful Apple computers are games play at like 24 fps and they said their own keynotes that that is a good thing
>>
>>108191975
There are many alternatives available, including open source

Are you expecting me to go and install windows now?
>>
>>108191865
youtube grifter
windows is dead because its now an insecure, unprivate and ineffecient cloud portal package glued to an OS intented to direct users to remote and monitored subscription storage and computing resources as well as monitoring of local user activity, not an OS.
t. former MS senior Dev who spent 20 years in enterprise IT afterwards

Also it's not a matter of being in a 'tribe; or brand faggot, whether steam OS, Apple or MSFT, Android or Linux repository users all major current operating sytems are fucked by either overt or covert design to the same theme.

If it needs to be connected to the internet to work or logon or install or needs any form of remote authentication it's not worth a fuck. Don't say you were not warned. Start building your offline LAN.
>>
>>108192099
different from android/chrome how? i thought you poeple loved your phones
>>
>>108192146
I don't love any of this it's the death of peronal computing and the internet not for any increase in securicy, privacy or effectience but simply to create recurring revenue and facilutate data harvesting. It is not drived by technologists but incomptetent MBAs
>>
>>108191865
What is with the insanely inorganic Windows shilling lately?
>>
>>108192186
Probably to counter all the 3rd world linux shilling.
>>
>>108192206
You can't shill something that's free, tardo.
>>
As someone who deals with winshit all day: Windows is basically just a baroque, overly complex piece of shit that's mildly different, at best, from modern Linux.
If you're stuck in Windows world like some massive evil corp cuck IT wage slave you are, then it "works" I guess.
>>
>>108192146
>wait, you DON'T like it when evil megacorps treat you like shit?
>haha, well... i bet you also use a different megacorp's environment! that makes your obsession with privacy and user experience completely invalid!
>what is GrapheneOS

Yes, you stupid faggot, adding "muh" before a word is not an argument.
The point is moot anyway because Apple products are overpriced regardless of what you use them for.

Great. What was so bad about notepad.exe that it had to have a metamorphosis?

yet
>jeetware
>>
>yeah but you can illegally pirate a LTSC corpo version of Windows and it's not so bad (yet)
Except you're relying on connecting to MS for Windows Updates. They can obviously tell you're not a real corpo customer. If they wanted they could trash your install, ban your entire MS account and prevent you from making a new one. It's like playing online with a hacked console.

classic
>dood I'm not addicted it comes from duh erf!
you're a retarded troonix faggot, you are arguably as worse as apple cocksuckers

LMAO IS IT?????????????
>>
>>108192626
Yeah, it runs on a billion different devices, and they’ll actually fix it instead of telling the user
>Skill issue

the world is trending towards linux for many reasons
>windows is vibecoded jeetware
>bill gates is a pedo

this will get much worse in inverse proportion to microsoft's share price

come on now
>>
>>108193195
OP here Bumping a dead thread but can you name one thing that runs on linux that is important?
>>
>>108191865
That guy can't even do a proper language benchmark. He's also a very known scammer.
>>
>>108191865
>better documentation
lmao, in the past i had issues where the documentation was downright wrong, ie the thing didn't behave like the documentation implied (if it was not entirely missing).

opened a ticket, they said "oh yes, this is a known bug, it'll be fixed soon".

5 years later, still not fixed.
NIGGERS.

Problems like this happen all the time on linux and pretty much every other kind of program or operating system
>>
>>108191955
If Windows is so great, why do you have to break it to use it, anon? Why aren't you using it as Microsoft intends?
>>
>>108191898
>break it or use a business account
You ARE using a business account when using the business version, aren't you anon?
>>
>>108193285
The company he ran after leaving Microsoft got sued by the Washington AG office for providing scamware Windows utilities.
>>
>>108193302
not anywhere close to the same extent.
also in the past i wrote an application allowing you to use an android tablet as a graphic tablet.

on windows i had to write a fucking driver for input injection, it was a PITA.
in linux, i could just use libinput (part of the kernel), use a few ioctl to describe a virtual device then another few ioctl to inject the input.
also windows's finger injection is utterly broken, if i injected touch inputs, and the finger was not moving, it'd forget it after a few second and release it.
so i had to have a separate thread that would reinject the last pressed down touch input every few seconds so that windosw would not forget it.

anyway, this is just one example, but it's always like this, takes a few minutes to write something for linux, then you try to do the same for windows and you end up in a rabbit hole of bugs, undocumented behavior, things that are just a pain in the ass to work with and sometime you need to write a fucking driver where in linux all you had to do is use a few syscalls.

literal POS os, i'm never writting software for windows ever again.

kek just like windows
