How did people in the early 1970s (before the Walkman) cope with the only portable music device being infested with ads and every other song being annoying as hell?
>>108192634
>>108192634same way you cope with your current tech being infested with ads. you're a fucking streetshitter aren't you?
>>108192634same reason peope leave the tv on but aren't watching it.
>>108192693i meant pocket sized stuff...>>108192718no i bought one of these and have a microsd full of pirated mp3s
>>108192634just switch stations during ad break. you zoomer niggas think we would just listen to one station all fucking day?
>>108192634The songs weren't annoying though early 70s music was great
>>108192634pirate radio
>>108192634People just took guitars to places and started playing.
>a couple of ads from local sponsors every hourthen>more ads for souless corpo product then songsnow>people switched from broadcast TV to cable TV because there were less ads>then the ads came back>people switched to cable tv to internet streaming because there was less ads>then the ads came back"no advertising revenue is down, we'll just have to make up for it by running MORE ADS" is the cancer.
>>108192634Born 79. Never had a portable music player until I won a portable CD player (Panasonic SL-205) in 1998 at the county fair. But radio wasn't nearly as bad back in the 70's and 80's.Not even in the 90's if you avoided the big channels. We're talking 10-15 songs before a 2-3 minute break for advertisements/news/weather. Non of the constant pauses of today. My first job in 1995 was very rural. Me and the crew had a Sanyo "boombox" radio in our truck that we carried around and listened to music on while working. Same as picrel.
>>108192634>>108192693>>108192710>How did they cope with ads on their device specifically designed to distract and brainwash the goyimBecause thats the entire purpose. The printing press was the advent of distorted information that primed people for goydio
There used to be a thing called live music, and it was everywhere. Bars, inns and taverns with live music. People would make a living just traveling around being a musician. Heck, regular people would sing. They would sing alone, they would sing in groups. In fact, I think technology has actually made the world a less musical place. We hide it away and only listen to it in our little earbuds
>>108192634There didn't used to be as many ads as there are today, and it wasn't always the same 5 songs on repeat.
>>108192933plus most ads were for local businesses
>>108192634Believe it or not, people in those days could function without constant electronic noise.
>>108192634the music actually being good.
>>108192740>pocket sizedmaybe cut dow on the onions intake, estrogen boy
>>108192634My grandpa had an automatic vinyl record player in the back of his trunk that he could operate from his driver's seat.He basically had a jukebox in his trunk.
>>108192634Music back then was actually goodAnd so were the ads
>>108192798Not having ads is antisemitic.
I use my radios all day long
this
>>108192634How did people in the past use portable radios? Is that your question? Seriously?
>>108192634I think they had wayyy fewer ads back then. The natural progression is for the ROI and revenue of ads to decline over time for each new novel format.
usually just for back ground nosie while fixing things. my grandad was always fixing cars and motor mowers and it just made it less boring.we didn't stay home much so it didn't matter.because we where not as poor as today.dude people had to have friends because the quite would drive you nutsalso vinals where why more common in the early 80s /70sbut people talked too much back then so no one bothered using it much.
>>108192634Drug use was pretty high then.
>>108192634Normgroids still listen to annoying songs with ads. They love that shit. Just understand they are not the same species of human as you and I.
