It's so expensive man I can't
>brother>laser>b&wit's going to outlast you t b h
>>108193187I had a brother b&w I got for $50 for years and years. No networking bullshit, just plug in a usb. I kept it in my trunk and would get it out to print turning university so that I wouldn't have to pay $1 a page or whatever bullshit they charged then. It was bulletproof. Then they just stopped manufacturing the toner for it.
printed so many high quality far-right propaganda flyers with one of these badboys
>>108193131then get one of these instead.
>>108193131Man, I always wanted a laser... but color ones are too expensive, so I got an ink tank instead (the kind you refill with bottles).
>>108193131That's so fucking cheap for a brother laser. That's a really good deal.
>>108193131I have this same model, I highly highly recommend it. It just werks, literally.
>>108193275Garbage. Should've bought bw laser.
>>108193131a printer is one of these tech that has nothing to do inside a housenigger go to a print shop when that day of the year comes around
>>108193903
>>108193131why would you ever get a printer?
>>108193235i hope you had some mitigations:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Printer_tracking_dots
>>108193240desu it's crazy how my fucking 3D printer which is 10x more complex than a 2d printer is more reliable than the piece of shit 2d printer.
>>108193218see people, this is the type of person that thinks anyone who buys a macbook is a money wasting idiot
Man right now my point for too expensive is over 40 grand
does a small printer with lasting (colored) toners exists? are they all huge? I don't have the space
>>108194104>which is 10x more complex than a 2d printerit just has to shit out some melted plastic, sure it needs good mechanical precision but one could easily argue that an inkjet printer is still a more complex machine since it has to shoot thousands of tiny droplets of different inks with extreme accuracy
>>108194226>with extreme accuracythis is not hard in the age of computer.the truth is, inkjets have less moving parts than 3d printers.they should be more reliable, but the software is always utter shit.
I'm in so deep I saw 209.99 and thought it wasn't that badI'm bout to buy a goddamn printing press out here
>>108194197I have an old Dell C1765 for very occasional use, it's like a 40cm cube with the doors shut. 12 years now still on original toners
>>108194237>they should be more reliableink is messy and it dries out, plus the moving parts that do move can be finnicky>but the software is always utter shittrue that, the closed source consumer nature of ink printers is a big disadvantage they have over FDM ones, since the latter have a lot of open source options and they cater to the enthusiast market which pays more attention to this kind of stuff
>>108193131>works with alexaalexa, print 100 pages of the word "nigger" repeated in size 10 times new roman
I bought a used old version of a Brother MFC.$50 and works fine
>>108193903t. never did any business
>>108193275Do they still jew you with proprietary ink?
I wouldn't mind a cheap, slim/compact printer for the few times I'd need one per year. They're usually always behemoths.>>108193996Postage label printing and especially in bulk.
>>108193131>It's so expensiveHave you tried not using scamazon and their gaming algorythm that's trying to guess how much you're dumb enough to pay when it returns the results?
>>108193131>spends that much on cpus/gpus/storage/fans/cases anyway
>>108194102Maybe he lives in the US where we have freedom.
>>108195455it's literaly in every countries...
>>108195455>Maybe he lives in the US where we have freedom.By which you mean the country that used underhanded techniques to *ENFORCE* the presence of the quantum dots in every available commercial printer?Yeah. That's totally reeking of 'freedom' and not 'oppression' ... You're right!Tell the slaves they are free and then you can charge them for their upkeep. You can make the really simple ones celebrate it yearly.
>>108195455>in the US where we have freedomlol, fucking hell I did not expect to read that
>>108195520The truly hilarious thing, is they actually *believe* what they're saying.I'm sure the Nazi in charge of propaganda being picked up in Operation Paperclip and then being set to task on the educational system is only co-incidence...
>>108193959Why are am*ricans like this?Cherishing your family is supposed to be natural, but for some reason am*rican families goes the opposite way and they all hate each other's guts.
>>108193218wait what, I have an ancient brother hl2140do i need to start hoarding toner cartridgesI mean, they last for like a decade anyways...
>>108195939>they last for like a decade anyways...That's all you need be mindful of. Lifespan and rotation.Feasibly, there's a large number of things that will only become more difficult to obtain, or only increase in price, that can functionally store for long periods of time. Obtaining a 'lifetime' supply of these things is rarely unwise.
>>108195858Jews, goyim families are for the jews for taxes and children to fuck.It has been like this way before their parents were born.
>>108195520We can still post political memes, laddy.
>>108195953Can you give examples?
>>108193131I stole one of these from work and gave it to my mom. She still uses that thing daily.
>209>expensivewtf lol. this board is insane. please get a job.
>>108195858That's just single moms bub
>>108195858
>>108195520Yeah, so the reason is that in every other country pretty much you'll go to jail for saying the holocaust didn't happen etc.
>>108193131>using paper in 2026
>>108198141Every printer owner has a static display of arbitrary size.
>>108193240>50% more dimensions>381% higher price
>>108193131I bought this for less than $150 pre-tax CAD. Absolutely perfect wireless printer if all you need is black and white printing for things like forms. Laser printers, like this one, can be left for months/years and then turned on again. New inkjets need to be used much more regularly to prevent clogging. The Brother laser printer is peak reliable utility and pays for itself in the convenience of ctrl-p -> oh cool there's my document vs driving to use one at Staples. If I needed a high quality color print, I'd go to a shop for their multi-thousands dollar printers and better paper.
>>108199013oops - forgot to say you should check Brother's website for refurb models, where I got mine
>>108193131>Buy a printer that costs a fuckton of money>It also costs money to PRINT paperWhy is this a thing? i only found out about it a few months ago
>>108193131>$200>expensivechrist anon
>>108193131What do you need this for? Just use AI. AI replaces printers. If you put AI into your workflow you will see 100-1000x productivity gains over whatever you were using a printer for. AI is the future.
>>108193131I have this. I had to extract the .deb file and put the drivers into the correct places manually to get it working with Fedora and when it prints a page, it spits toner dust out and sometimes picks up more than one piece of paper at a time. It's got wabi sabi.
>>108200289stop makin shit up
>>108193131Might as well get something with color at that price point desu unless you own a business and print shit every day for some reason
>>108200358you think someone would just go on the internet and lie?
why pay $200 for a new one? these things are tanks, just go grab an old used one from a thrift shop for 20 bucks. There's a built in self-test which will print stats about the printer.A school I used to work at had an HL-2070N in the library which printed over 450,000 pages before it died.
