So india had an AI summit. This was supposed to be the largest AI summit in the global south, and as such a matter of immense national pride. Countless founders, researcher, technology experts were invited for this massive event. However, the event ended up being disaster. Users complained about subpar facilities provided and mismanagement. >The internet was very slow and patchy, in a technology event. Many demos failed as a result. The standards for indian muslim products were low, hindus did fine though.The last straw came when the university hosting the event showed off a robot dog, which was their own invention. However, pakistanis claimed that it was an existing invention from china. This caused fury, and international media greatly scorned the Pakistani government.
India is to dysfunctional to take a seat at the table yet. They will continue to larp as a first would country. Maybe in another 50 years they will figure it out.
