KDE is better because it has a cute mascot
>>
Is KDE better for things like hotkey scripts or automation than Gnome?
>>

LXQt and Xfce are better

That's not a Krash and you deserve that for using the floating panel shit.
>>
>>108196270
Yes, global shortcuts work flawlessly. As far as I know KDE is the only environment where that has consistently worked fine on Wayland and they were the first to have support for the Global Shortcuts Portal.
Automation is still a bit of a sore spot though, what sort of automation would you be doing?

corpo linux trash
>>
>>108197364
There's no corpo behind KDE though. Well, technically there was Blue Systems and now Techpaladin but they were formed by KDE itself as a means to hire more developers and take on more contracts like, for example, their work with Valve.

Why?

At least it's not a foot though. Imagine having a foot as the literal representative of your project.

I sometimes forget that was gnome's logo as i don't use it, why is it a foot instead of y'know a gnome?

I tried talking about this in one of the linux threads. I do not want my terminal to have a foot on it and be called "foot". And why does it have to be the best terminal too. This shit is retarded. I don't fucking want stallman toe fungus in my command prompt
>>
>>108197804
>>108199078
Yeah that shit is fucking retarded
Also not nearly as awful, but Fedora is really cringe as a name as well
>>
>>108199078
people are already looking at me funny, but if they overhear me talking about using foot to run broccoli they will think i'm genuinely retarded

The pendulum will start swinging back soon enough. Gnome as sucked for ages now.

It's only the default on new installations. If you already had a sensible non-floating panel you'd never even encounter that.
>>
>>108196502
How come I never see stuff like this? What do you have to do to get it into this state?

Probably just:
>Be on an older version of KDE with bugs

>Post to 4chan pretending it still happens today
