>company is called be quiet
>barely makes quiet products anymore since their new ceo
Most of their cases haven't solid panels, RGB fans perform worse than their dim counterparts, their CPU coolers are still sub-par in performance (Phantom Spirit is a better heatsink than anything they make, you could buy a PS120 and fanswap it and it would still be cheaper and cooler), they don't sell the spacer and silicone fan mount accessories Noctua does, they just launched "gaming" mice and yet they don't bother making them silence-focused or making vertical mice and silent keyboards.

I get that glass and RGB sells but I'm worried about the direction their products are headed towards even though they seem to be doing better than ever.

I want to over-cool my 65W AM4 with an eye toward getting a 105W CPU someday. What's the best silent AM4 cooler rated for at least 120W?

Thermalright Peerless Assassin.
I use one for my overclocked 5600X and don't even reach 55c with max load for hours.
>>

Peerless Assassin is arguably the single best heatsink performance-wise while being cheap as fuck and you can replace the fans with Noctuas if you don't like the stock ones. NH-D15 G2 is neck-and-neck performance-wise and gets placebo-tier build quality but it's also like 3 to 4 times as expensive. OG NH-D15 got discounted quite a bit since the G2 released and is still vastly overkill for any mid-range CPU but has long lost its top dog status.

As already mentioned, Peerless Assassin. 150w rated and just overall the best air-cooler on the market within that range.
I have two for both my work and gaming rig. Like 45 bucks each when I got them.

You're still not going to beat the acoustics of the Dark Rock Elite even it has problems on AM5. You're going to be paying more to replace the crappy fans on this Chinesium quality cooler anyway.

You'll only wind up with 60 dollars less in your coffers and buyers remorse if you buy Thermalright over a premium brand.
>>
>>108198564
Sick. Might try running that with only the center fan.
>>
>>108198531
It's still noctua, poorfags seethe in the replies
>>
It's funny that my bequiet case is filled with noctua fans, but that's just how it is. Also had to order a solid side panel for my shadow base 800 which was kinda lame, but I grabbed a few more things so nbd.

I would just buy be quiet or noctua after an additional 2 weeks of research if I'm noise sensitive, the 2x cost is worth it for quality fans meant to work with their respective heatsinks
>>
>>108198768
Fuck off anon, my PA has been running non stop since November 2021. Not a single issue with the fans.
>>
>>108198768
>this Chinesium quality cooler
The Peerless Assassin is one of the, if not the best reviewed and ranked air cooler on the market. Both in quality and performance.
>>
>>108199097
If I had to go back 2 weeks, I would not have bought the PS120. The 2x cost is only in the fans and build quality.

Against the Silent Wings 4, there can be no victory. We must join with them anon. We must join with be quiet. It would be wise.

Not gonna replace my PA when it works perfectly.
When I have the time to build my next rig it's gonna have a PA in it as well.
>>
>>108199179
>when it works perfectly.
Perfectly is subjective, but if you can't perveive the quality difference then I envy you because I have serious buyers remorse knowing I could have afforded a premium option but settled instead.
>>

Buy once, cry once, at least when the fans start making a shitty whine you can just replace them with something better, hopefully thermaljew will offer mounting brackets for new sockets but probably not
>>
>>108198768
hah no
thermalright stuff (all of it) is cheap, werks very well and looks acceptable

Just ignore the tard. He has no idea what he's talking about. Like most big brand shills.

>bends over

be quiet!

>at least when the fans start making a shitty whine you can just replace them with something better
You'd think so, until you find out this is a myth. Replacing the fans makes the cooler perform WORSE because the heatsink and fan design go together on modern coolers.

People criticized the 130mm fans on the newest Dark Rocks yet the thing is, you probably won't ever need to replace them in the first place because they are high quality fans made by a brand that cares about its customers. So in practical reality, the argument for "Thermalright is better because you can swap the fans" is insignificant becase it still performs worse when noise normslised if you do that.

Mounting pressure variance and case clearance may be valid arguments, this however is not.

idk wtf you're talking about the new silentwings are the quietest fans i've ever used and blow more air than equivalent noctuas.
>>
>>108200644
Wasnt that like 3 years ago?

my dark rock pro is like 5y old but it's still great.. would buy again
>>
Thermalright is just better

Phantom Spirit has one heatpipe more and costs the same. PA is overrated.

PA isn't really overrated, it just came first. PS is built on the foundation of the PA. I own a PS and it's amazing though.

Anyway to all the people shitting on Thermalright ITT, I run this build and the Phantom Spirit does an amazing job. This build is so quiet I can't even hear it with my headphones off. Any game I play even on low volume overpowers any sound coming out of the case, which is very little. The only thing I really hear in this case are the stock case fans but I put a custom curve to reduce the sound there as well, the build is whisper quiet and the PS handles the 9800 X3D perfectly.
>>
>>108203330
>handles the 9800 X3D perfectly.
it handled my 9950x3d lol
thermalright fans are complete shit though. Cheap bearings that wear out within months and start making noise.
>>
>>108203346
what fans are you using on the PS for the 9950x3d?
