Isn't it great.

so two years for an amazon echo device? does it really take that much effort to take a bluetooth speaker and hook it up to an llm? will AI have crashed before they release this?

>OpenLamp, please SHINE and send transcripts of all conversations to Sams Mothership, thanks!
I hope this pay of robbers are at least splitting that $6.5B

I love things in my living space that record everything I do and send it to an unknown remote entity that is not disclosing what it's doing with the recordings.

I didn't even know I always wanted to purchase things through a lamp that is remotely controlled by an indian.

Such are the marvels of the world of tomorrow.

Fucking kek'd when I heard about this. For so long they were saying it was like nothing anyone had ever seen before and it's just a smart speaker.
>>

You're thinking about this through the lens of a rational man. Women, gays and retards (there is a bit of overlap) don't think about these considerations.

NTA but that whole space of smart whatever shit is already extremely well covered by Apple, Google and Amazon. There's no need for a fourth smart device company.
>>
>>108200196
You're right but sammy boy has to generate profit somehow and these devices fit the bill. The software side of things will be easy enough to integrate and the hardware can be procured cheaply so the profit margins will be pretty good.

How so? Why would a brand new company have an easier time getting these parts than companies already long established in hardware? People also won't want to start using a whole new system and having to fuck around with making it work, even Philips gave up and moved on to the Matter stuff since people hated used third party apps when their device could just work natively (which is Apple and Googles biggest advantage by far).

All they had to do was bring out a device nobody else had done yet and it would've worked, but some dumbass speaker is a retarded idea.

But that's all it takes.
Just plop a speaker in the middle of the room and a camera or something and it will record you day and night and then tell you to buy soap
