Something I've noticed in most Linux projects is that they keep regressing. The kernel is a rollercoaster of performance improvements and performance losses every minor release. The DEs are unusable after every single major release and you have to wait for the first patch for them to get back into a working state. The distros constantly mess with package dependencies. Is there any hope or are we stuck with windows and mac for eternity?
Konqi'd.

Desktop Linux was always saboware, but I also get the impression that the newer crop of "software engineers" are just plain worse.
>>108200319If you don't want minor releases to break your system then you are supposed to use a stable distro with a slow release model like debian or ubuntu lts.

Switching away from Debian based distros to Fedora based distros fixed my issues with Linux.
I run fedora and it works just as well on my x230 and my 7900x pc. It just works anon.
