>turn off intel ME from the task manager>computer runs fine for a few hours then bluescreensIs this because its actually doing something to help my computer run or is it just "you need to let israel spy on you or you arent allowed to have a computer". And no it didnt just happen one time, Its a consistent pattern, disable intel ME, delayed bluescreen.
>>108204511disable intel management engine wonder how memory is unmanaged and runs out
>>108204511it should be exactly 30 minutes if you actually disabled the ME, that's the known "grace period" that they give for you to fix it before the computer shuts off
>>108204511wait, can you actually disable the intel ME from your OS? isn't literally an independent microkernel running underneath it all
>>108204511>The Intel Management Engine always runs as long as the motherboard is receiving power, even when the computer is turned off.
>>108205170yeah that's what I thoughtwhat the fuck is OP talking aboutis this some joke and i'm retarded
>>108205140you can disable the windows driver for itwhat effect that actually has I don't know
to disable intel ME you need to do a firmware update , you need to physically open your laptop / PC and connect the programmer to the ME chip and flash Libreboot or an other alternative.
>>108205140Do you not actually read whats running in your task manager? Its right there, they dont try to hide it at all.
>>108205205>>108205205>>108205398>Do you not actually read whats running in your task managerI don't care that much about windows honestly I just take it as spyware as granted and run with itI doubt any task manager antics can stop a minix kernel at negative ring priority from peeking into your memory or some shit
