Why are there so many bad Nvidia cards? Even Nvidia themselves know 8GB of vram is a problem. If it wasn't why would there be a 16GB version of the 5060 ti you have to pay more for?

5060 8GB is acceptable for 1080p gaming when compared to 16GB. If you feel like you need higher resolutions plus all the PT + FG slop then you'll run out of memory.

I have a 16gb 9070xt and I play at 4k (with upscaling if im playing modern slop) and I think the most vram usage ive seen is about 10gb. I dont really play UE5 games or heavy modded games though. Ive heard people say 16gb+ is future proofing but by the time I need that much vram id probably want a new gpu to even get decent fps, I think 12gb is enough for most people right now
