Why the fuck does Spotify drain so much battery? I'll typically use SBC on my earbuds at 160kbps and stream via wireless data (mind you, I'm subscribed to Premium so I've downloaded the playlists I listen to the most) and it'll drain like 20% in an hour for some reason. I figured maybe it's streaming them regardless if I have them downloaded or not, so I turned on offline mode and yet the issue remains. One odd thing I also noticed is that streaming music to my car stereo using wireless data via Bluetooth (AAC) for about an hour drains maybe 5%-8% of my battery which doesn't make sense. What the hell's going on here? This is something I do regularly so I feel like it'll take a toll on my phone's battery health in the long run.

Battery life and paired modem performance were often worse on the exynos models. in Day to day life, you cant really feel the single threaded performance difference on SD/EX versions unless you are a phone gamer (which why play games on a phone?), or for some reason batch edit tons of photos at once regularly. And yes I had both a SD/EX S10e, and a SD/EX s24. Basically bought one of each, tried them both out, and returned the one I didn't like. Kept the Exynos both times. Kept on using the s10e until it died last week, but sold the S24 as soon as I updated it to oneui7 due to hating the interface changes.

As for software, OOS>OneUI if you care about responsiveness, OneUI>OOS if you care about extensive customization. I always found OneUI to hitch and stutter which annoyed the shit out of me and I didn't care too much for most of Good Lock, so OOS is perfect for me personally.

How good is HyperOS?

went to the store to check out s26u and almost walked out with an iphone 17 pro max. they were all next to eachother on the table and i first picked up 17 pro and played with it for a little. first time i held an iphone since my 5s and it instantly transported me back in time when they felt special. everything about new ios is just... nice. wallpaper, colors, font, app icons, animations, uniformity and consistency. i then picked up 17 pro max and surprisingly it didnt feel too large compared with my old 6in phone.maybe it is size-creep, i remember getting lg g3 when it came out and it felt unwieldy. when i saw renders i thought the design of the device was major downgrade compared to 16PM, but in person it looks much nicer and due to slightly beveled edges it is nice to hold as well. almost forgot i came there to check out the samsungs and when i saw that there is barely any difference in size between the u and + i ruled out the 26+ because of the exynos and started playing with s26u. i felt disappointed. i bought my mom a56 a few months ago and it feels and looks exactly the same. like a 300 € phone. also display looked so bland compared to the iphone but i do admit that is mainly because of bland and ugly ass blue theme on oneuiwent back home and have been reading reviews, watching blind camera tests and comparisons. i normally follow tech news but i slept on the 17 because i hated how it looked with rounded edges, weird camera island, lack of black color and apple logo not in the center of the back side so i never though of buying it. dont know if i was so impressed with it in person so i now have bias or if i genuinely prefer its warm and vintage feeling photographs over android flagships. im obsessed with getting it now, but i know once the honeymoon is over i will be miserable due to ios weirdness same as i was with 5s.talk me out of itthe fact that i didnt see 1 video about iphone with indian accent is really urging me to pull the trigger bros
