repet for a couple of times and there you there you go, in barely one day you know it all
anyway are you reading or watching something like manga in JP or anime or games/visual novels? don't fall for the "do a 10k kanji anki deck and follow this long ass grammar guide I will never memorize entirely before I start engaging with the language in any capacity" meme, motivation is key, just find something that you like and start grinding with a dictionary in front of you (if it's digital then you can Yomitan, it's very easy to install and now you have a mouse-over dictionary)
just keep at it for 2 weeks (14 days) and if you don't give up you WILL improve, godspeed anon you are the most based person I met this week

My daily routine looks like this now, how about you?

Morning
-Sketch a drawing for 30 minutes
-Study jp for like 1 hour
-excel formulas for 1-2 hours

Afternoon:
- apply for 1-2 jobs
- learn webdev again from scratch, in hopes i can at least be good at laravel. No matter what I'll keep holding on to laravel for at least 2028
- do take home test if any
- if my parents gave me some documents to work on, I'll take it.

Evening:
-sketch a drawing again for 30 minutes
-review JP
- sleep at 21.30 - 22.00

Weekends
Morning: the same
Afternoon: figure out krita and my recently bought pen tablet
Evening: entertainment

Not at all. Shit's just too daunting and i only been starting for like 5 days. I have a pdf resources from a site so maybe I'll get through that first. I have all the time in the world, i know. But these days I'm just translating twitter post and try to figure out what that means. At least i know what the flick note does.

It's just a class where you define all the methods you're going to actually implement in a different class. They make it easier to swap out implementations and they make unrelated classes share common behavior despite not necessarily being related.

If you have a function like:
myFunction(myClass)
{
myClass.myMethod()
}

If you use an interface you're forced to write classes that implement myMethod() so any of them can be swapped into myFunction.

This is why i believe tech is a joke. Some people can get by just by knowing 1-3 things for the rest of the career. Some people feels like they have to be good at 4-10 more things too just to feel like they are good enough to be hired or "to stay in the game"

I know QA guys currently employed with only knowledge of just Jira for like 3 years now. I know Postman, Selenium, xpath, and Playwright, basic webdev, 12 months of experience, yet i still cant get hired again.

I know web guys who only sticks to react and node and they get by with it for 10+ years, rarely stress about it, goes upwards anyway getting richer every 2-3 years.

>>
>>108255663
The probably did and you just didn't get it until now. Anyway interfaces are not a "meme" like people are saying (most retarded thing I've read today). Its one of the most important concepts to understand because its what allows you to write generic orchestrator code once and apply it against many different classes. If you didn't have it you'd be at best copy/pasting that orchestrator code or at worst coming up with some sort of monstrosity to handle all the different types of classes.

Easiest example is imagine you have a collection of objects. Its easy to write code for that collection when all the objects are the same class, but what about if you have 2 types of classes? You now need 2 different collections, one for each class type. Now imagine that there's some sort of priority involved with using the objects in those collections, such as you need to run an object with priority 1 first, then priority 2, etc. You now need to keep track of where you are in each collection, and check each one to see which has the highest priority before running. All of this is avoided with interfaces, or rather "dynamic dispatch" is the actual term for what interfaces are facilitating.
>>
great, I'm so glad I just spent hours implementing JDBC, JDBC template, Data JDBC and JPA when JPA is the only one to use because it's way better than the other ones and can even implement custom queries for you just by giving it column names and predicates and such
>>
>>108257050
"Interfaces are parameters. You set them as a function's parameter and now that function can take any object that implements that interface as an argument for that parameter.". I'm going to get a computer job and move out and have sex right?
>>
>>108257309
Interfaces aren't parameters. They're specifically a class type, which are used to denote a parameters type but aren't limited to parameters. You can use an interface type anywhere you can use a normal class type. For example

InterfaceType a = ClassThatUsesInterface b;

All the the interface type does is guarantee that the object its referencing has all of the functions on the interface implemented.
>>
>>108257420
"Interfaces are class based enums that take other classes as members by said classes implementing them when declared"
>>
>>108257506
Enums are numbers (its literally in the name), has nothing to do with this. Your phrasing also implies that the interface is using or has knowledge of the other classes when its the other way around. Interface type guarantees the object has all of the method names listed on the interface implemented and available to call. That's it.

When you are employed keep this up, but lower your expectation that it will become your next career. It’s not because it’s impossible, but suicidal thoughts can come from chasing your true potential

10 hours of manual labor today
thankfully I only need to work like 20h/wk to make the bare minimum payments on all of my bills while i keep racking up debt that I'll pay off (maybe) once I get a real job

I call it aesthetic balance, reached in between learning and creating, seeing and imagining, eating and exercising; imagine an in and out flow from your body, making your soul beat with vitality.

In life you can reach these kinds of 'flow-mode' whether you're working really hard or dancing to music or seeing a piece of art that takes all your attention, but too much flow-mode makes you forget yourself, because it's often an inflow (with consumption) or outflow (with deep work) in excess, but they tend to make you forget yourself, they do not feel light, because of their imbalance, only a good active balance of inflow-outflow makes you feel light, free, self-conscious, alive, vigorous.

>have a whole basement apartment with all my needs met, rent takes 1/3rd of my monthly income
>graduated almost 2 years ago with nothing of value gained from it since
>still have parents occasionally hound me about starting le career in tech and you dont wanna work these jobs you got for life
>deep down i am perfectly contempt with my current life circumstances, tech has been one giant himuliation scam ritual in my eyes for the past several years anyways
Still somewhat trying to get into the field, but fuck me am I not expecting anything to emerge at all. Cant wait to rip the bandaid in a few months and tell my parents me and this field do not click whatsoever, and im happy with being a low wager.

Because the commutes change every fucking week depending on where the job site it, that can be anywhere from a 15 minute drive to over an hour both ways. Also I come home physically tired everyday and the heat makes all of that worse. I’d prefer to be an IT monkey at a data center or something like that.

This is not my problem, this is OUR problem. I am able and willing, that is all that should be required, either you give me a job and pay me a salary for the work that I do or you WILL pay me a salary through your taxes, except now I will not contribute at all. I am simply offering you a good deal, take it or leave it.

Increasing your income involves 80% soft skills and 20% technicals skills. A guy with that set of skills and linkedin profile could very well made at most $1500 in my country, not $150k

I'll monetize around 2028. Probably start making POD merch. But honestly i just want to make animation memes for youtube / insta. I want to get deeper into game art though.

Thanks. For me i just realized sitting down doing the same topic for more than 4 hours just ruins all retention for me. Make me bitter and jaded. Often times what I've been doing doesn't give me any results. If i spread my eggs on more basket like learning japanese, drawing outside of QA automation, if my QA efforts doesn't give me as much interviews as i want, at least i can still be good at drawing/writing and speaking japanese.

>>108262579
Dunno bro. I have 12 months experience as a mobile tester back in 2023-2024 but still cant get a manual tester job. Try sticking with selenium + postman + java + sql for the next 6 months. Make at least 1 project and reiterate from that.
>sick of webdev
Same. Same. Honestly i only learn webdev just in case a relative wants me to make a dumb blog site for them. Trying to be good at laravel was a hurdle for the last 4 years.

whilst I have a job atm I recognise that I'm an incompetent and lazy failed SWE and I will probably be made redundant in a year or two max, at which point I will never find a job again thanks to AI
I will try to fight my fate by working on being less lazy and incompetent in the meantime, but the most important lesson I've internalised is not to plan too far ahead and not to be too sad when things invariably go to shit, instead I hope to find happiness in living in the moment and taking each day as they come instead

My professional career has just begun so I don't feel comfortable giving drawing advices since I'm still learning a lot myself BUT if I share one thing, please don't stress about all of the future struggles at once. They seem overwhelming in your head yet in reality they come one by one and somehow you get through them. That's why I think "keep going" is cliché but still the best advice. One day you'll look behind and will say "wow, I don't struggle working on those things anymore and the biggest problem in my life is paying taxes"

Do not start with reading manga/LNs/etc, it's going to be way too hard at this level. Start with graded readers: tadoku. They are split by level and designed for foreigners, not natives like manga/LNs. I think someone said once that it's free, but personally I just downloaded after searching for a link on yandex.
