I cancelled my Claude Pro subscription.
thank you for your service
>>108256639They should federalize Claude. It’s actually worse in Dario’s hands
Opposite for me. I finally cancelled my ChatGPT subscription that was two years running after trying Claude. I can't believe it took me this long to be honest. Even with all the custom prompts ChatGPT just never talks like a normal human, whereas Claude just says it as it is. I've also noticed that Claude provides criticism for my work whereas ChatGPT and Gemini immediately glaze me like I'm Einstein. Gemini is clearly the most capable and most efficient one so far and I already have Pro because I have Google One, but it's programmed to act like a happy retard and always does that thing where it tacks on a question or suggestion to drive engagement.
>>108256639Cool, more compute for me
>>108257248With ChatGPT you are basically paying to filter Bing Search through an LLM.>Search index for Claude: Brave Search (better than you’d expect.)>Search index for Gemini: Google (duh)>Search index for ChatGPT: Bing (lmao)You are what you eat, and that’s doubley true for the information you feed an AI.
How much better is Claude for programming then ChatGPT? Should I switch? I only use it for coding.
Claude is down rn, I think the pentagon nuked them together with Iran. Good call cancelling your subscription anon.
>>108256639nice blog, fagit
>>108260942use more than one, double check or ask for second opinions, sometimes your main one will get too focused on solving a single problem that it won't realize it's not even the best solution
>>108262113We do this at workClaude for most workCodex for checking
>>108262113>>108262158I wanna use it for hobby stuff, and that would require 2 subscriptions. ChatGPT has worked well but it kinda loses context.I havent used the VSCode plugin yet, project is some Unity hobby scripts like 3-4k lines of code in several scripts.
ive tried vibe coding or whatever that bullshit is called . kind of just pushed me into a corner .
>>108262474Claude keeps going for longer, good for one shotting long but simple features. Codex stops more but imo is more precise.
>>108256639cluade is the best of them all - you're just a retard
>>108262474wut, I use claude, deepseek and chatgpt for hobby projects everyday and they require no subscriptions
>>108256639>banned for using it outside their cli and website
>>108262645huh?
me too, now i use supergrok (tm)
>>108256639Language model inference is free, why were you paying to begin with?
>>108262526What about say, having 10 different scripts that call eachother from within the program? ChatGPT sometimes forget older scripts, given I just pasted them into the web interface.>>108262580True, I can use the free version. But I will pay for one of them Ai is just so good and it saves time being able to "Vibecode" and then look at what the output is.
>>108262679If you have a claude subscription and use their services in anything other than an official product, like openclaw or opencode, they will suspend your account. For external use you need to pay through their platform/api key which is substantially more expensive. Same with gemini. OpenAI doesnt care
/vcg/ vibe code general when?
>>108256639>paying for AIi hope they (((automate))) your job first, anon.T. Artist
How come no one likes Gemini?
>>108265786Garbage tooling and their model is schizophrenic
>>108265786Gemini is trash. I don't qs bored one day and wanted to test them all. So what did I do? I installed Arch on a VM 3 times but, even though I know how do it on my own, I let ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini wall me through a full install. I did everything they told me even if I knew it was wrong/wrong command. Here's what happened. >ChatGPTGot me through about 90% of the install, then shit the bed. Distro = broken. Incomplete.>GeminiAbsolute failure. Couldn't even get 10% in before it went full retard. Go itself so confused we couldn't even continue >Claude Yes .. Claude. Got the distro installed and running. Did take some troubleshooting but most of the issues was just Claude giving me a wrong command that had to be changed.Now.... I decided to use my 27b to install Arch on my laptop. Strangely enough it did it. Not quite as cleanly as Claude did, but it succeeded where two commercial grade mulit-trillion parameter models shit the bed No you DON'T need subscriptions. Run your own LLM and stop being a faggot
>>108256639i doubt a jeet like you can afford any paid ai
>>108265937Joke is on you homoman. AI is fake. It's actually 10,000,000 jeets sitting at computers answering inquiries like a live chat.
>>108256639I don't give a fuck about American politics or about military-industrial complex dick swinging. I'll subscribe to whichever service is best suited to my needs. Today that happens to be claude max 5x but I have no loyalty whatsoever, I'll jump ship as soon as a competitor is better.>>108260942By "ChatGPT" do you mean something like Codex CLI? If you're writing code by going to chatgpt dot com and copy-pasting files back and forth then that's your problem, you need to use a proper agent.>>108265786>>108265925Gemini is good at visual stuff. As well as nano banana, it also has special support for detecting the bounding boxes of objects in an input image. And if you tell it to make a react+tailwind frontend it will do a good job with decent aesthetics. But for more advanced coding, it's noticeably behind Claude and Codex so not much reason to use it.
It's so weird to me to work in the industry and then see the complete opposite takes from this board. How many of you even liked GPT before this spat? Because it's obvious to anybody who uses 'muh frontier models' that Claude is the only US model worth a shit right now for any technical tasks.
>>108265960
>>108265960>>108266269So how is it that a local model can run without a net connection? Do they shrink the Jeets down into safetensor format?
>>108266269I KNEW IT
>>108266298Magic. Probably
>>108266318Well then that's just more impressive than the story they're telling us then innit?
>>108266341Well yes. Magic to shrink the jeets down that small.
>>108266363I wonder if my machine has the capacity to convert .jeet to .safetensor... Might safe some workplaces that way.
>>108266376Just image. All computers have tiny nano level jeet universes... Jeetverses... Tucked nicely away inside silicone.
>>108266247Used to copy paste, currebtly looking into a visual studio plugin so allscriptas can be in context.
>>108262769>OpenAI doesnt careQRD? I was using a Gemini key with openclaw but stopped after it ran itself to retard levels overnight
Gemini Code Assist for VSCode used to switch from pro to flash after you exceed the quota but it stopped doing that. Does Gemini CLI have that problem?
>>108266298intel ME
>>108265786I enjoyed talking to it in AIstudio but gemini plus is not really worth it.
>>108256639> Be me> Paying $20/month for a digital hallucinations assistant> Claude is "too sensitive"> Ask it to write a spicy joke or a basic combat scene for my light novel> "I cannot fulfill this request as it may promote harmful stereotypes or violence"> It’s a literal toaster with a vocabulary, not my moral compass> Realize I'm paying for a lecture> Cancel subscription.exe> Use the $20 to buy a premium pizza and a 2L of soda instead> Actually feel full for once> Switch to local LLMs or free tier> No more "As an AI language model, I must wag my finger at you"> The sun looks brighter outside> Wallet is heavier> MFW I'm no longer subsidizing my own scolding> Would you like me to help you find some open-source alternatives you can run locally to replace it?
>>108268931your wallet isnt heavier though because you spent the $20 of pizza and soda retard
>>108268969>imagine thinking 3,000 calories of stuffed crust and high fructose corn syrup is "spending"> it's an investment in my bulk, anon> claude won't feed me when the societal collapse happens> stay hungry and lectured, philistine
I looked a bit more into this, gonna try Codex Cli with visual studio and see how it goes.Kinda annoying we have several generals about slop generation but no general where we discuss using Ai to be productive./vcg/ - Vibe Coding General when?
>>108257248Seconded. Chat is trash now. Bring back 3o.
>>108266298The jeets are in your wallsWell, sewage pipes more likely
>>108269490This would mean they use toilets, aka it's a lie.
