>tech book written by woman
>look inside
>it's about improving soft skills
Why do women even when they're in "tech" gravitate away from engineering toward people management roles?
>>
question bête réponse bête

because they're so good you can't handle skills they import in the workplace.

>Everything you think of as wokeness involves prioritizing the feminine over the masculine: empathy over rationality, safety over risk, cohesion over competition.

I can't believe women will actually be the downfall of human society.. who even let this happen? Who even orchestrated this power shift in the last 50 years?
>>
>>108262573
Just in it for the money. And convincing people to promote you/buy your product is a more time efficient way to make money than improving technical ability

>Who even orchestrated this power shift in the last 50 years?
the collective west have been feminizing since at least the 18th century anon, “the time of the debaucheries of men has ended and that of women has begun” said kant once, half-joking about marriage, reading about casanova you can also see how feminized was the aristocracy and corts he so often frequented at that time, not to say the common folk was feminised, it started from the top.
not related, but splenger also wrote on everything going downhill from the napoleonic wars, a good coincidence, although he is more pragmatic about it, being the natural predictable course: culture > civilization.
>>
>>108263385
>the time of the debaucheries of men has ended and that of women has begun
What did he mean by this? Women are infinitely more depraved than men.
>>
>>108263385
Aristocucks were a different species to common folk. I wouldn't say the society was feminised when the world wars were being fought and arguably in EE it's still not feminised (at least not nearly as much as the West).

Humans have been self-domesticating since the first cities. Urbanization created an unnatural selection pressure for passivity and perpetual victimhood.

Fuck neolithics and their bullshit agriculture. Paleo tech a best tech.

High pay. Lots of attention. Good benefits. Get to pretend she's a STEM girl boss genius.
The reasons are endless.
>>
>>108262573
the cold truth is social skills are half the requirements for a good paying career in almost any field. Techcels fail interviews because these HR hitlers can tell from subtle hand movements and insecure answers that you're not a fit for the team.
In a world where more and more people shut themselves off and forget how to be charismatic, being "one of those" will guarantee a "unfortunately" mail in your inbox even if your tech knowledge is qualified.
You think Chad has a good career because managers wanna fuck him? More likely it's cuz he naturally developed a charismatic personality and knows how to talk his way into stuff. What he lacks in technical qualifications he makes up for in being a well adjusted person that people like to work with.
Those are the consultants and project managers that make 50% more and tell you what to do by next week. Meanwhile techcels fold at the "where do you see yourself" question and wonder why they got rejected or can't climb up.
The sooner you take soft skills seriously the better. Most people actually do need to practice it, and managerial staceys will notice the effort. Give that type of advice a fair shot instead of dismissing it as female drivel. You're gonna have to accept the fact that these people run the business nowadays.

Women have consistently been shown to be far more cruel than men when they are given power.

That's how they are wired naturally.

very unemployed thread
the days where you could be an asocial code monkey communicating through bug tracker were long gone even before AI and now AI replaced these people completely
being able to talk to people and not being repulsive is the entry bar
it's not even hard to learn small talk, the fucking AI chatbots prove it by existing

a viewpoint very symmetrical to barista art school graduates

I'm not saying soft skills are not important. I'm expressing frustration at women choosing to run away from engineering at all cose out of their own volition, while at the same time cancelling us if we dare say >>108264011
>>
>>108264058
if I am deciphering your blabbering correctly, you expect to make women in your workplace uncomfortable and lamenting that that gets people fired
in my 15+ year IT career I don't remember ever stumbling on a topic of discussion with coworkers that would veer into what parts of generic "men" and "women" wired naturally for what
I am unsure why you expect to talk about wiring women if the workplace is IT company and not shibari dungeon
you are free to seethe about women to your hearts content outside work IRL and (with basic nickname) online as well
why not being able to seethe at women at work and slap their asses is seen such a employment blocker by terminally online chuds
>>
>>108264149
you are not deciphering my blabbering correctly. I'm talking about shitlib feminist societal trends, not workplace etiquette.
>>
>>108263515
he was just deluded with his prospects of marriage and saw his era as particularly ill-suited for one, hence that half joke. "our current constitution makes it so that women can also live without men, which spoils everything".
but i think this other thought on remarks convey better the theme at hand: "the majority of men are primarily effeminate or common and thus even worse to associate with than women".
>>108263526
i try to take everything as a grain of salt, but its hard not to link these dots for now.
ill try to get more into splenger. i wonder if my mind will change as i adventure here; for maybe the feminisation plaguing men is actually a symptom of our decay instead of the primary cause.
>>108263859
youre right about our big cities inflicting unnatural harm-behaviour on us, but the agricultural revolution was inevitable anon, we need to deal with what we have now for our brains got too big and its unviable to go back, theres no abandoning this struggle now.
if im not wrong (cant find the text) desmond morris gives a similar solution: taking full advantage of our brains now and revaluating the nature of our settlements, for: "the harassed citizens of the human zoo must in some way be given back the ‘village-community’ feeling of social identity. a genuine village, seen from the air, looks like an organic growth, not a piece of slide-rule geometry, a point which most planners seem studiously to ignore. they fail to appreciate the basic demands of human territorial behaviour.
houses and streets are not primarily for looking at, like set pieces, but for moving about in. the architectural environment should make its impact second by second and minute by minute as we travel along our territorial tracks, the pattern changing subtly with each new line of vision. as we turn a comer, or open a door, the last thing our navigational sense wants to be faced with is a spatial configuration that drearily duplicates the one we have just left".
>>
>>108262573
you better start reading them. technical skills are not important anymore because claude can do it.
>>
isnt funny? to see a zoologist developing better architectural and urban planning projects than our modern architects.
>>
>>108263985
>Meanwhile techcels fold at the "where do you see yourself" question
Do they really? I am as weird as techies go but find this shit easy to answer. Can always be prepared for it, the questions are stereotypical, just like their answers.

I think they just have a different understanding of the "tech" field. In my last job, one woman was a "technical coordinator" of some acceleration program (I don't remember the name), which aims to get more women into the tech field. Now, that's fine, but she wasn't a technical person by any stretch of imagination, didn't know how to code or even how to connect to an FTP server using FileZilla. Another time, I overheard HR talking about how they shouldn't hire anyone who "isn't fun to be around", no matter how good they are technically. It's just a different world.
>>
>>108263985
>Soft skills are important because gatekeepers with soft skills prioritize soft skills.
You demonstrated why soft skills are a parasite, not why they're actually important to productive ability. Gatekeepers are not producers, they're vampires. Yes, if you want to get past them, you have to play the game where you're judged by the attributes they like best but ultimately, the physical world exists and societies that value parasites over the productive will end up falling. Just because they can use the huge amount of inertia created in the era when productive skill was valued doesn't magically make the physical world irrelevant.
The irony here is that due to the lack of immediate negative feedback, the gatekeepers and their employers don't see the decay that's absorbing the momentum built during the previous era, which itself is a huge soft skill failure.
>>
>>108265203
>You demonstrated why soft skills are a parasite
They're also a very western obsession. One of the reasons why China is winning on all fronts, and all fresh good programmers have to be imported from Eastern Europe, where US companies initially hire them regardless of their irrelevant social skills.
>>
>>108264306
What's this referencing? Not surprising though since to make it in architecture is all about nepohiring and connections more than others for the limited new buildings
>>
>>108262573
>Why do women even when they're in "tech" gravitate toward people management roles?
anon, they recognize they are not good at coding and such, but receive smiles and praise for the teamwork thing, so that's what they gravitate toward
>>
The discarded fingernail of one H.R. woman has more value than the lives of every single incel chud on the planet combined.
>>
>>108263978
>fren
They took everything from me.
>>
>>108263985
Frankly, as far as importance to actual productivity goes, soft skills only matter in so much as how well a person can communicate a concept or idea. As long as the team isn't tearing each other apart, you don't really need that much in soft skills. Really, the level of soft skills you're talking about only work because humans are required in the production process, meaning, like >>108265203 said, people who use charisma are often parasites not providing that much in actual productivity.

Now, I can imagine that, since we do have to deal with the practical realities of people, having someone charismatic who can build connections with others can be useful for a business, but, again, this only works insofar as there are people to be persuaded.

>>
>>108270511

>>
>>108262573
Engineering, especially SWE, is a job fit for indians and autists. No normie wants to spend their life looking at code, especially women. They take the first boat away from technical roles as soon as a path to product/people management opens up for them.
>>
>>108262748
Didn't ask, doesn't matter, don't care.
I am totally, completely, unironically fine with the downfall of human society, in fact I want it to happen even sooner so that you sorry chuds can cry even more about it.

Every piece of attention or resources a man gets is a piece of attention or resources that could have went to a woman.
>>
>>108270563
It's simple really. If a man is content and happy in his little corner, as far as the woman is concerned he's distracted, not agitated and therefore not protecting her. Women never evolved past this. The mind of the woman cannot comprehend peace as it is always scanning for danger, whether real or imaginary. So, even if you're working a super mega death laser defense grid, if you're visibly stressed or agitated, then you are doing absolutely nothing at all as far as the hoe is concerned and she'll make sure you're on edge, no matter how detrimental it is to your work.
If you've ever wondered why women were prohibited from any kind of leadership role or anything even remotely resembling importance, this is why.
