Oh dont go over 80% Oh dont go below 10% Leaving the device off a long time make sure ure at 50% or else!!!When the fuck is something better coming jesus christ. Whens that copper shit supposed to come out or other stuff i keep hearing about like no anode or solid state shit
That's only to make your battery last more, say, 11 years instead of 10.I stopped worrying about shit like that and I just replace the battery of my devices when needed. My decade old sony bt headphones still give me good 20 hours playtime.
>>108267076>Oh dont go over 80% >Oh dont go below 10%it's fine
>>108267076Did ialso nention the fite risks? Yeah japanese airlines force u to take out any battery packs cuz theyve had too many vatch fire like wtf kinda shit garbage tech is shit
>>108267076Being gentle on the cells with not going over 80% or under 20% is good. What makes a bigger difference is how the battery is treated between those states, slow charge and slow discharge keeping the cells as close to room temperature as possible significantly extends life.
>>108267094This. The software is typically more disposable than the battery these days.
>>108267094I bought a gpd 4 and let it die 0% battery and left it like that for 4 months. Went to charge it. Oh battery dead
>>108267127I have entire cardboard boxes full of old battery cells, many have little shards of Nickle welded onto the terminals. My workshop has never had a battery fire. It's fine.
>>108267148I had to replace the battery in mine after a year and the replacement is already swelling.
>Oh dont go over 80%>Oh dont go below 10%>Leaving the device off a long time make sure ure at 50% or else!!!I just use them however and if their performance becomes unsatisfactory I buy a new one. Ha ha! I love not being poor!
>>108267148Gpd win 4
>>108267161Buying a brand new 2500$ gpd win device.... yeah poor or not fuck that
>>108267160Yeah fuck lithium chink shit honestly
>>108267094Ye clearly not >>108267127>>108267148>>108267160
I wish I could use my 18650 batteries to power old phones.I know I can with 3 pins, but anything higher than that is a lot of guess work. And there's no guarantee of booting even when you put a resistor on bsi.
>>108267076it's mostly autismit's a consumable.. use it up and then when it needs replacing buy a new one
>>108267076>>108267094phone lithium hold ~400-500 charge cycles. Thats basically <2 years if you do cycle the phone daily, but if you only do it portion, you can double, triple the lifespan before battery degrades <70%
>>108267094>I stopped worrying about shit like that and I just replace the battery of my devices when needed. That would be fine if manufacturers didn't make that as inconvenient as possible. Before you could just swap them in <1 min, or carry spares if needed for long sessions without charging
>>108267076my ipad from 2012 still lasts 10-30 days. i've never done anything you mentioned.
can we please just swap back to AAs
>>108267161how do i stop being poor
>>108267918I liked AAs however the energy density isn't there. I have a FiiO that takes a 10440, a AAA sized li-ion that works great. It's really nice I can swap the battery easily, carry a couple spares in a case since they are tiny and can take the battery out of it when I want to just run it off USB power. Fantastic design that needs to become commonplace again.
>>108267076>Oh dont go over 80% >Oh dont go below 10%You don't have to worry about this because the charging system in phones & tablets have circuitry that prevents overcharging and will shut the phone down before the battery is completely depleated, also thermal protection
>>108267953Just going back to any swappable batteries would be good. I get that Apple has a fetish with how small they can make a piece of aluminium but why did everyone else follow them? There should be nothing preventing people from going back to swappable batteries in phones, tablets and laptops but everyone just collectively decided not to so they can make the thing 0.1mm thinner for no real gain.
