I was told we were supposed to get AGI last year but that didn't happen.all those are very different things, i'll try to clear things up for you. first of all, if we ignore all the hype and marketing, the person who does future prediction better than anyone is kurtzweil and he set in stone that>singularity: 2045 (singularity is the point of infinite intelligence, as in hitting the computational ceiling possible in our universe, at $0 cost, nothing to do with rsi specifically)based on that you can extrapolate exponential trend from 2025 to 2045 which is more or less:>agi, rsi, asi, levby 2030, all 3 are the same thing at the end of the day>fdvr, brain upload, memory tinkering2035>2040nanobots, nanofactories, foglets>2045dyson sphere's, oneill cylinders, etc..obviously the actual dates may and will vary but since it's still an exponential, the further we go the more this error is reduced. also notice that unless you already know how an exponential works, the whole progress happens during the very last stretch, so in the above example, by 2028 we might still have shitty hallucinating llms but by 2029 they will cook asi and we'll get gods in our pockets in the spam of 1 year. same is true for the other tech, so people will always be in denial until they "suddenly" drop on us
