>2026>already forgottenWhat went wrong? This was supposed to save the Linux desktop...
>>108269631
>>108269650jannies pls delete mistake up topomarchy is just arch with bloat.. making an arch based distro with bloat is pure retardness and either way good thing it died it was never good (ev&oe it would have never been good cuz its based on arch LOL)
>>108269631Turns out one guy's specific dev setup isn't a perfect fit for most people, who would've guessed.
>This was supposed to save the Linux desktop...>look inside>Arch + HyprlandBait?
>>108269631this looks like some rogue-like game logo
>>108269631Wanted to try it out but it doesn't have a live USB function.
>>108269631> normie usertoo prone to issues, config missmatch because of retarded dotfiles system, updates full auto once a month and can break stuff>normal/advanced linux userbloated as shit and too messy of a configuration. Distro is just fucking huge and filled to the brim with nonsense if you are not a very specific type of baseddev
Used it for 2 months then went back to mint. I guess I was filtered by arch (and neovim)The screensaver is nice tho
>>108269631Everything wrong with modern Linux rolled into a single distro.
I think linux community should focus on building actually usable software alternatives instead of changing default wallpapers in arch and calling it a revolution in desktop linux. Maybe they also should focus on distros supporting fucking trackpads on laptops, or at least not dying if you happen to have an intel cpu. Or maybe they should invest into making a DE that will render fonts with AT LEAST the same quality as "lowskill garbage coded" windows does
>>108269631we actually just need a monolitic desktop environment to fix troonix, also software packages similar to android apk files, I will try vibecoding the first one just for the lulz to see what comes out
>>108269631>opinionated linux by literalwhok, keep me posted
>>108269631Why did leftists get so mad over some random nobody's arch install script anyway?
>>108270279Imagine DHH explaining to you how installing Arch is like a roguelike for developers on macs and that's why they should use Omarchy. Listen to his voice in your mind.
>>108269686ahh ahh bloat!1!I uninstall like 6 apps with the handy uninstallernow i have an attractive, well set up arch installthan you DHH
>>108269631>Arch>Except with ugly Wayland tiling window manager shitted on top of it.It's pointless as fuck. CachyOS offers pretty similar things as just one of the options.
The only problen with Omarchy is it contains nonfree software, just like most other distros, but this goes blatantly towards installing apps like Spotify by default.
>>108275265Most of the Web is nonfree software.
>>108269631How can I forget what I'm using right now?
