>never recovered to pre-hack numbers>captcha was last nail in its coffin (doesn't actually help with removing pedos, schizos and spamming retards while making posting for regular users harder than it needs to be)I'm so glad this place will finally die, I'm looking forward to it, nothing of value will be lost, it's the same feeling when a multiplayer game that you hated but kept coming back to shuts down, rest in piss you will not be missed
>>108283406Genuinely don't get the complaints. It's faster to me.
>>108283406>never recovered to pre-hack numbersqrd
>>108283190it's not the captcha it's the fresh cookie/IP block, they flag your browser as a bot and you can't post anymore you are temporarily blocked from posting due to abuse. this is deliberate, they want you to buy the 4chan pass, hiro did the same shit on 2chan
>>108283190>the amount of posts/day falls substantially>the amount of bots increases exponentially >your data is still being sold Sasuga.
>>108283406OK but the new captcha is the easiest this site has ever had
>>108283537clean your cookies and try again
>>108283537>>108283418after you stuck around doing the multi-stage humiliation rituals hundreds of times for a week or so>>108283519coercing people to buy a pass (annoying captchas/tracking/fingerprinting/arbitrary range blocks) while decreasing the appeal of the site (boards dying) sounds like a bold strategy

kek I just know anyone posting here has been posting here for weeks already with no cookie reset so they can avoid the fresh gulagchta ones. In the end that's all who'll be left here nobody is going to go through that shit just to post here congrats on the devs for finally making 4chan pseudo account based like all the other hecking social media sites and pisscord servers
>>108283406how would you make a captcha to filter pedos
I find these capchas easier than the earlier ones requiring me to read text - I always struggled with the font. I try not to save my cookies, and pretty frequently change my IP. I can do current capchas very easily.

I can deal with the captcha but the 60s wait i get often has caused so many posts to go unposted.
The capcha stops some lazy or mentally retarded (clinically, indian, etc.) users posting but I think in general people are also demoralized and less interested in talking about technology due to altman making everything cost 2-10x as much and the more aggressive blocking of ban dodging proxies I'm sure also contributes to downward trending activity.
>>108283878If you want to shitpost without consequences its easer to setup a twitter account via tor than it is to do it here and let's be fucking real this place isn't good enough for anything but shitposting anymore which is why we're now seeing this decline.
>>108283898Real truth is this: new generations of 4chan posters are just too stupid and too used to content serving algorithms. They are unable to do anything else than mimic discord or social media behaviour. There's your decline in a nutshell. Bye, retard.
>>108283898doesnt twitter make you give them a cellphone number to sign up?
>>108283773i remember when phoneposting was less common everyone whose post started capitalized would be called out for it
>>108283406I'm glad you will be gone too. When the userbase is 10% of current then maybe things will finally be comfy.

>>108283406>doesn't actually help with removing pedos, schizos and spamming retards while making posting for regular users harder than it needs to beIt does and is easy as fuck. New captcha is the best captcha we ever had.
>>108283878>users posting but I think in general people are also demoralized and less interested in talking about technology due to altman making everything cost 2-10x as muchI've been posting here about my programming projects for over a decade. Why would I stop? Because ram is expensive?>and the more aggressive blocking of ban dodging proxies I'm sure also contributes to downward trending activity. That's a good thing. Anyone using these proxies is cancer and that is ruining 4chan. Also 4chan has to many posters anyway. If we cull all the low IQ retards, ban dodgers, low effort shitposters, etc, this site will benefit enormously.
>>108284055I didn't say it was every user but it's a noteworthy trend, and I agree with the proxy crackdowns being a good thing.
>>108284020lol im behind adguard
>>108283962I don't remember anything like that. I've been here for maybe 15 years and everyone has always been properly capitalizing their posts in the boards I would frequent, to the point that not capitalizing would make you stand out.
